Absolutely love The Turnpike – hands down one of the best pubs around! The atmosphere is always welcoming, the food is consistently delicious, and the team make you feel right at home every time you visit.

Huge shoutout to Claire, the landlady – she goes above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly. You can really tell how much pride she takes in the place. Her friendly, down-to-earth approach and attention to detail make a real difference. She’s a credit to the pub and the community.

TIRGGER WARNING Absolutely awful I recommend anyone (especially ones with family) stay away from this place! I went in the other day and waited almost 30 minutes just to be served (the pub was practically empty). Just to be served by the so called ‘waiter’ Who I think is one of the owners of this establishment came out with no shoes on and his feet absolutely stank! 🤢 safe to say it killed my appetite I then entered the toilets to my horror to find a big smelly p*o on one of the urinals! Great to have a nicely laid out local again the inside is very nice and welcoming. I was a little disappointed with the food we had on Sunday apparently a staff shortage was to blame for this. I ate my meal but would consider eating Sunday lunch there again. The place is very fresh inside and the selection of beers and spirits is plentiful with good prices. I would have scored higher but for the food I was served. But please do try the Turnpike when you pass you will be happy what they have done...
