We visited the cafe on our trip to Vindolanda. Great cafe with nice treats, very good coffee, and service. They have a beautiful terrace and the day we visited it was perfect outside so we were able to sit out and enjoy the weather and the gardens. Beautiful views of the gardens and the sound of a river flowing through. We loved our visit . Thank you for the great service and beautiful location.

Great atmosphere. Place for everyone but History lover should go here without fail. Garden and sitting area is peaceful and perfect. Plenty of food choices. We are vegetarian and lovely lady made special vegetarian sandwiche for my kids. ❤️

Really nice cafe at the bottom of the hill {Steep hill} can recommend the attached museum and if dining try the hot pies and the cakes Good value for money too ….cheaper than less well kept cafes I’ve come across

Great atmosphere. Place for everyone but History lover should go here without fail. Garden and sitting area is peaceful and perfect. Plenty of food choices. We are vegetarian and lovely lady made special vegetarian sandwiche for my kids. ❤️

You HAVE to try the coronation chicken sandwiches if they are on. Simply remarkable. Service is very fast, the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious.
