Frequently visit the bar & restaurant - at least once per week. Consistently a well managed establishment, especially since current manager has been in place. Staff are professional, efficient, approachable, and will take the time to engage in a helpful way - the ethos seems to be very much customer-focussed. Despite the obvious restrictions or limitations of being part of a chain - a good chain - there is an attitude of flexibility as far as possible, rather than 'not our decision'. Food menu is varied and very reasonably priced. Occasionally there is a run on pork loins so check if you fancy them! Food is always delivered as menu description, quickly, hot, well presented, and plentiful. I am not experienced in posh food, but I am slightly fussy within my own realm. I find the quality of the food to be consistently excellent, and if I want my burger 'very very well done', or my fish 'in a couple of minutes longer' - always no problem and always delivered. And my autistic son asks for bizarre combinations and they always accommodate with a genuine smile. They honour customer satisfaction sincerely. I ordered a curry far too hot for me without understanding what the menu said (inferno or something) - I tried but couldn't do it. I asked to order and pay for a new dish, but they insisted on replacing it. There is a children's play Wacky Warehouse attached (also excellent). The bar and restaurant area is fluid between an adults only restaurant area, family tables some of which include booths with kids TV screens, configurations for large groups, relaxed bar tables, including a sports TV area. There is also a small quiet bar area, which is the only place you cannot eat food. Clean, tidy, comfortable. Plenty of clean toilets, baby change, and disabled toilet works for me with crutches and wheelchair - staff will assist with doors etc.. REALLY FRIENDLY, RELAXED, VALUE FOR MONEY, BROAD ATTRACTION ESTABLISHMENT. Honestly feels like a little extension of home. Keep...
Read moreWe stumbled upon Wheatlands Farm looking for a casual dinner, and boy, did we hit the jackpot! For a ridiculously cheap price, we feasted like royalty on their "banging katsu banquet" and tandoori chicken sizzler. Let's just say, our expectations were blown away. First off, the katsu banquet was a dream. The chicken pieces were perfectly crispy, golden brown, and incredibly tasty. The curry sauce was thick, rich, and bursting with flavor – exactly what you want from a proper katsu! It was clear they don't skimp on quality, even with the low prices. Then there was the tandoori chicken sizzler. The chicken was beautifully marinated and cooked to perfection, with a lovely char and smoky aroma. It was served sizzling hot with vibrant peppers and onions, adding a fresh and colorful touch. We loved the DIY aspect of the fajitas, being able to assemble our own wraps with the fresh salad and sauces. The value for money at Wheatlands Farm is simply unbeatable. You get a mountain of food for a fraction of what you'd pay elsewhere. We left absolutely stuffed and completely satisfied. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a delicious, hearty meal that won't break the bank, look no further than Wheatlands Farm. We'll definitely be back to try more of their amazing dishes! Highly recommended! Read moreStopped off with family for food and let the young one play......well our cutlery was dirty (bits of food stuck to the forks). My order (new york chicken) looked like it had been slopped on the plate with a load of bbq sauce thrown over it by the bucketload with 2 rashers of bacon on top. They missed the tomato off the order. My sons food came and his vegetable sticks looked like they had been sat in the fridge for weeks. They were all cracked and dried up (not fresh at all). When the waitress came to ask if everything was ok i did let her know and showed her but she shrugged her shoulders said ok and walked off.....seems not much has changed. The play area should be for specified ages only as some older children were in the younger part (under 5s) climbing up the sides and knocking signs off. The lady working in the wacky warehouse didn't have a clue and. Didnt say anything and it spoilt it for the younger ones. Disappointing. Adding on..... Thought we would give this place another try yesterday(30.07.2016)...we were in a group of 12 people. Walking in to be told there were no tables big enough for us all so we let them know we dont mind dining seperate for them to be quite rude and say no we only have a table of 2 available and turned us away. We wouldn't if minded waiting but it proves my first impressions right. I wouldn't rate this any for...
