All in all BAD. We had an awful experience. Would not return here even if all the food was free. The lasagne was awful - did they use old shoe leather to make it (see picture attached)? Now, as for the veggie food, the burgers were okay. Now, if you were to read the menu, you’d expect onion rings - we did too. Wrong ❌. The onion rings aren’t veggie, so we were told when asked. Therefore, we didn’t get them with the burger. Surely you’re thinking, of course, onion rings are veggie, why wouldn’t they be? That’s because they’re cooked in oil used for meat products. So surely that means not veggie. Okay, so why are the starters labelled vegetarian (suitable for vegetarians)? Well, this is due to onion rings not having meat in them. That’s fine, but I’m not eating a raw onion ring. The explanations we were being given made me cross. Now, by no means do I blame the staff who were just being told what to do, as I am a waitress and understand that they are not the ones making these decisions. Onion rings aside, the tables had many dirty plates and cups, so we had to clean our table to find a place to sit. The lights were flickery, and the place felt grimy. The only positive was that the service was quick, but that didn’t make up for the overall negative experience.

What an awful experience. We ordered 4 burgers on to BOGOF offer, and a children’s burger. When they came, the 3 vegan burgers looked awful. The patties looked like they had been microwaved, they were only just warm, soggy and floppy. Also, the description on the menu said they should come with sauté red onions in a BBQ sauce, but that was missing, all that was on it was a small piece of lettuce, a few raw red onions and some, what looked like, bottled, cheap bbq sauce. The children’s burger came with veg sticks, and the carrots were awful. They were black, hard and looked like they were cut days ago. We spoke to the waitresses, who went to speak to the kitchen but came back and said that the raw red onions were the sauté onions, I then had to explain that sauté meant they should be cooked and not raw. They also got us some more carrots, that were just as bad. We got a refund on 2 of the vegan burgers ( the other was free on the offer) and they offered us free desserts as a sorry. We ordered the blackcurrant and apple crumble with vegan ice cream, but what came was the crumble with custard which we couldn’t eat 🤦🏻‍♂️. I’ve never seen such poor, inedible food and had to explain to staff what is on their own menu. Definitely won’t be going back!

Thought to pop in after seeing great reviews after a good walk. Wish we didn't. Around 4 members of staff sat around doing nothing. They could have been on their break, but at least do it somewhere else, so customers dont think yiur just being arrogant when asked for some help. The ones who were doing something took their sweet time. The food we ordered, some looked inedible. We ordered the salt and pepper banquet, which was ok, bar the chicken wings, and the 3 small plates of chicken strips and again wings, in carribbean sauce, texts bbq and Korean bbq. The strips came out luke warm, the wings well they looked like they haven't see the fryer or even the sun! They were whiter than casper, the friendly ghost! At one point, we weren't sure they were even cooked! We thought they had either boiled the wings or microwaved them! I really wouldn't recommend eating here. Drinks, yes, food no. I will add that after we complained, we did receive a refund for the wings, which I thought was fair.

We've only been here once about 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. However tonight's food experience was awful. My husband had a quadzilla burger and I a full monty mixed grill. Our server pointed out that the burgers were bogof so we ordered a take out for our son when we got home. This was happily obliged and provided in a takeaway carton.

I had to send my steak back as it was well over cooked. This was replaced without question and quickly but when the next one arrived it was cold but black on the outside. It smelt a bit strange as well which, going off the rest of the meat on my plate i would say is down to the grill not being cleaned properly. Dry chicken and gammon, sausages OK but cheap and no flavour.

Husbands chicken burger was OK, but the beef burger tasted greasy and cheap.

They were advertising for a new chef which could have something to do with it...

The staff were pretty pleasant with a guy with a loud voice serving us. He was really nice and helpful and very welcoming. Another lady michelle returned my steak to me and gave a genuine apology...although the other lady was clearly upset when being asked by her colleagues to help out (in a really kind way) responding and saying "I didn't know you'd got a promotion" the guy responded and said "I wasn't telling, I was asking" (he asked her really politely) she then turned to us while we were eating and said "I didn't know he'd been promoted, I didn't realise hes my boss" with this as an exception, the staff clearly work hard and are in the main friendly and helpful. Hence why I have given 3 stars for staff, otherwise it would have been a full 1 star review based on the food...

Dont normally write reviews but as we always came here (loved it) but havent for over a year, i thought this deserved a review.

Bangin katsu banquet, well this is no banquet, especially for an adult. 5 kids chicken nuggets, 5 CHIC wings... certainly not chicken by the size of them, about the aize of my little finger, rice... very light flavour but tasteless once mixed with the water content in the peppers and onions and fries are fries. Oh and this is supposed to be salt and pepper, they sprinkle a bit of S&P seasoning over it which was also rubbish. For £13.69 I think it was, is shocking!!

Wife always gets chicken new yorker and she said it was rubbish compared to what she used to get served.

Teenagers chicken skewer tasted weird, she didn't eat a full one of the 2 she was given and the kids sausage looked like it had been sat waiting to be served for a few hours.

Also used to have cutlery brought to you in a bucket, asked if you want condiments and colours and paper also given for children but this had to be acquired by yourself.

Wrong deserts brought out, told waiter and he went away and came back with a picture of what was on the order as if to say this IS what you ordered!! I think i know that my daughter doesn't like apple crumble so was definitely not ordered. The girl behind the bar did say she put it through wrong but the cheek of the waiter!! Seriously.

Anyway, will have a hard think of actually going back. Honestly shocked by the place considering it was our go to restaurant for years and just paid over £52 for 4 meals that...

Another visit and another disappointment. Father's Day 2025 and you expect it to be busy. We were in before 6.30pm, our reservation time. We ordered before 6.45pm. Our starter turned up reasonably quickly, but the mains. .. 1 hour & 10 minutes! You weren't allowed to order via the app and various dishes were unavailable. It's just disappointing. Again.

Sadly, our ratings have gone down since our previous visits, due to a drop in the quality of some dishes, but mostly because of the wait to get our meals!

There were 6 of us dining, celebrating our daughter's GCSE results, having reserved for 7pm and we ordered on the app at 7.24pm.

After 55 minutes wait, my husband (a Type 1 diabetic) was suffering from low blood sugar and having a hypo. As soon as we realised, we mentioned this to a member of staff, who was very good and brought his meal out in a matter of minutes.

However, it was another 30 minutes after that - a 1h 25m wait from ordering - for the other 5 mains to be brought out, by which time, my husband had (thankfully) finished and his bloods had risen to normal levels.

Now I know it was a busy evening, but there is NO excuse for a wait of that length, PLUS at no point (other than when we mentioned my husband's medical issues) were we advised that there was a wait for food, especially how long that wait was likely to be!

I really wished we had gone somewhere else, because the experience was a massive disappointment and £90 we could have happily...
