We unfortunately had a disappointing breakfast last week. Three of our breakfasts came without beans and when we mentioned this to the waitress we were then given a very small pot of beans to share between three people. I think this was the usual portion size for one person, but instead we had to share it between three. Also one of the breakfasts came without mushrooms and they had run out of mushrooms in the kitchen, but also didn't mention this until we asked. Portions were also generally very small compared to other breakfasts available in the local area, and we were disappointed that the vegetarian option came with no substitute vegetarian items eg. veggie sausages. We paid the same price for a veggie breakfast, just without all the meat, which seems unreasonable. The waitress did make a small deduction off our bill for to apologise the lack of beans and mushrooms, but this didn't make much difference given the normal cost of the breakfasts (£13) which seems very steep. Coffee was nice and well made, atmosphere was fine, but food was...

can’t recommend this place enough!!! We visited today at 11 (definitely should book to secure a table) and chose to seat outside under a roof as the sun was out. Although it was a little chilly they offer blankets and hot water bottles to help out.

We ordered a regular and a veggie breakfast. They were understanding with my changes to the veggie/vegan plate so very accommodating for dietary needs! The prices I believe to be very reasonable for the portion sizes, we both were left very full. Genuinely the best veggie breakfast I have had ever!!

The staff are extremely friendly, I could hear each staff communicating about tables ensuring everyone is well looked after. Each member knows what they are doing, especially with the coffee drinks! I ordered two mochas because I couldn’t just have one!

Outside is a great atmosphere in the Spring/Summer when we visited and they welcome dogs outside and inside.

We will be returning...

We came to The White Post cafe for my friend's birthday. It was quite exciting because we haven't been out for brunch in such a long time. The location and outlook are lovely and the menu looked great when we browsed it. The service was a little slow - there seemed to be more staff inside, but only 1 person outside. When our food arrived, we were very surprised at the portion size of some dishes. For example, £2.20 for two, small slices of bacon seems very overpriced. The banana hazelnut bread portion was also very small. So small, we had to order a second as the child it was for, would not have been full. We probably won't be going back as the food didn't wow us and for the prices, it just didn't seem worth it. We'd perhaps go for a coffee in the lovely garden, but not for food unless the prices change. The food we did have was tasty and the pancake and quesidilla portions were fine. Not...

A hidden gem.5 star food, 5 star service and a 5 star location. The drive up is like a winding path to pixie hollow. Lovely building that nestles in this location with a rustic cabin feel with a wood burner and great garden to sit in.Good selection of food with seasonal favourites. Great cake selection and fantastic coffee with locally produced items. Staff really invested in supporting local suppliers and are a fountain of knowledge about the products they use.. So support local as the money is then respent locally not like the big boys who have shareholders to pay.It ensures that places like this are there in the future. Top Tip 1. Book if you going for lunch to guarantee a table as it's very popular. Top Tip 2. Leave space for desert and set aside a while to just stop (put a comma in your day)and enjoy.

What a gem of a place! Did not research it prior, just wanted a late breakfast and omg were we pleasantly surprised! Magical setting, especially atmospheric in the autumn. Food is great and beautifully presented. Really fancied a rustic looking giant scone, but ran out of tummy space after my hash brown & bacon & beans & feta troff :) Highly recommend! Oh, and they provide blankets and hot water bottles for outside sitting!
