The Epping Forest Cafe — Restaurant in Epping Forest

Visited 15:45 on Sunday.

Parking was awkward as most spaces seemed designated to Fight Academy or Get To Know Animals.

Worst of all, the cafe was shut.

[There was no indication that this was due to some kind of 'staff emergency' or such. This wouldn't have helped us - but would have been more forgivable.]

In my book, this is an absolute no-no. If you can't depend on something being open during its opening hours, you don't bother going there. [This is what stopped us going to 'Wings' at North Weald - now out of business...]

Fantastic family run cafe, prime location situated next to a wildlife preserve and Essex fight academy with free parking ! I am a health conscious regular costumer who uses the gym daily. The chef is supportive with my journey by creating bespoke low fat high protein meals and delicious smoothies with high quality fresh ingredients daily. Also has a diverse menu including child size portions that is handy after a trip to see the animals next door! Friendly atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Just amazing! We were out for a walk in the Epping Forest, and found this place on Google maps around lunch time. The staff is very friendly, and service is great! We had coffee and fried chicken wrap. Coffee was good amount, and the wrap came with fries. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to sit and have a bite after a long walk.
