Chadni Express — Restaurant in Exeter

I’m not going to lie, this is by far the best Indian restaurant in Exeter! The food is always amazing! BUT the last three times I have ordered for delivery, I have waited in excess of 1.5hrs when delivery has been estimated for half an hour! I never complain, tonight I called to find out where my order was and was met with rudeness! The response was it’s Friday night so this is normal, thanks Bye! I love your food but your customer service was so shocking that you have actually just lost a regular! If you know this is the case, you should tell people in advance...

This is the first time I used this Indian restaurant, and I don’t usually bother with reviews however I don’t want people to be as disappointed as I was. Bought a chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and plain naan bread as these are easy dishes and overall should be safe bet. The Masala sauce was runny and tasteless like water. The chicken was dry and tough. The pilau rice must have just been over microwaved so was like eating sand. And the naan bread was in 4 torn pieces? It’s like they put together the left overs from their own plates. AVOID...

I am not going to lie, but I have had a lot better! Placed the order and it should have been with me within 40 minutes yet didn’t turn up for an hour and a half. I did call to find out where my food was and still didn’t turn up for half an hour even though I was told it was on its way. The taste of the multiple curries we ordered was nice, however the rice was sloppy and left a pool of water on the plate which ruined the chips.
