Went here for a meal on Sunday 13th August 2017. We have been to this restaurant about fifteen times (we are local) before and have had nice meals and pleasant times, but on this day things didn't go as we'd expected. I had the roast pork my wife had the lamb, the meal was ok but the portions have now shrunk considerably. I thought we were going to get another plate of vegetables but we just got the one. When our plates got taken away we waited for her to return for the "Would you like any desserts" the answer would of been a absolute Yes, as we were still hungry. She never returned. After a 25 minute wait. I went to find the manager. She apologised and got us the dessert menu. We got the bill and I thought thats a bit pricey. It had the next tables drinks on our bill. Very poor service. Sadly to say we won't...

Ate hear on the first day it opened after COVID lockdown. The staff were welcoming and wearing masks. We were seated far away from other people and staff were attentive. The vegetarian burger I had, and the vegan curry my wife had, were both delicious; you could tell it was made by a proper chef with real ingredients. The brownie dessert I had was absolutely delicious. They had a limited range of old school beers/ales and my wife's coffee liqueur was overpriced (the cost of both drinks separately). Unfortunately, the reason for the low rating was that while we were waiting for the bill I noticed the vinegar they gave us was very cloudy, with a grimy rim and had dead flies at the bottom, that's just not acceptable any time, never mind during the pandemic! They didn't even offer any...

Had a lovely Sunday dinner at the Oliver Twist with family. Easy to book via Open Table we were in and at our table straight away. Starters were good, the whitebait was plentiful and the Camembert and pate starters were very good. For mains two of us had beef and one chicken. The beef was nicely sliced, not too thin with nice roast potatoes and parsnips and tasty gravy all topped off with a giant Yorkshire pudding. Have to say it was all very tasty. Similarly the chicken was well received. Unfortunately we were too full for desserts so can't review those. It's just under £20 per head for two courses so reasonable enough for the quality. Service was good throughout and extremely friendly. Will...

For a first im introduce myself- im burger hunter. Every week im living in a different part of Enngland. Most of times im eating away.I’m quite fussy about food. Enough about me. Now time to talk about the place where I’m staying.Small country side pub. Clean room (my room nr4). But it’s not about the rooms, it’s about the BURGER that i just recently got. Paid 18£. And every penny worth of it! Pork crackers in a burger 🤭 Amazing!! Big plate! If i say big it means BIG😶 another star in my Google maps where i definitely want to eat again! You should try as well (if you’re burger person).

On a weekend away we stayed 5 mins walk away and were recommended The Oliver Twist as a local choice for eating out. We were not disappointed. We had ham hock scotch egg and buffalo wing for starters, and mslayan curry for main course. Everything was hot , tasty and a really decent sized portion. We loved it so much we returned the following night for some delicious Honey and Garlic Chicken legs and a Lasagne which would take some beating anywhere. Beautiful home cooked food, friendly and helpful service. Best home cooked pub food we've had for a long time. Highly recommend 😋
