hi all. called in today sunday march 17 at about 3.30. just for a coffee and dessert for 3 people. had my wife and my elderly mum who is 95. one of the staff came out to the car to help mum inside although it wasnt nescessary. our desserts were excellent,couldnt have been better. we have had lunch here twice befor and each time it has been excellent.however the staff here are something else. they must be the nicest,friendliest staff i have ever come accross, and i dont mean to take anything away from staff elsewhere who are great too. but this family run place is just so friendly ,and they couldnt do enough for us. the owner walked us out to the car and we had a great chat. just a pity he is an arsenal supporter. but hey noone is perfect. lovely ,lovely spot overlooking the marina. highly recommended. ...

I booked The Moorings very last-minute (late Friday for a Sunday lunchtime service) and chose here as it was listed as being dog friendly. We were a party of 9 adults, 1 small baby of 14months and a Cockapoo pup of 10 months. Mable and all the staff could not have been more accommodating or welcoming. They seated us in the bar, where pleasant and welcoming providing excellent food, warmth and generosity. They allowed us to take our time and we had the most wonderful meal. My aunt is returning to Ohio on Tuesday and this enabled us to give her a warm send off and made an excellent parting memory for all. Always been an amazing place, recently taken over by new owners and it's even more amazing. Fabulous staff and entertainment. Sunday BBQ, lovely with great choice of food. Every one of the staff be it owner, waiter, server or entertainer, work together for their customers and have a bond that is difficult to describe but as a customer you leave feeling you are a part of a very special family.
