We visited here on the 31st August on our way to Dymchurch, I am a carer for 3 Autistic boys, and I had gone along with their family to help out on a day out. We arrived at lunch time and straight away the lady asked if we would like her to close the door so the children couldn't escape, she could not have been more helpful, the food was of amazing quality, freshly cooked and delicious, the children's meals came with a Fruit Shoot and were a very generous portion, the Adult meals were just the same and we certainly left feeling full, the service was second to none, they couldn't have been more helpful or considerate to our needs, the children were actually very well behaved and I'm sure that was because we felt so relaxed, The children had ice cream for dessert which they thoroughly enjoyed, so for 6 main meals, 2 childrens meal, 2 Coffees, one can of Coke and a bottle of Bulmer it came to the grand total of £62.00, was honestly gobsmacked, my only complaint is I don't live closer so will probably be a year before I have the pleasure to go again, and I believe they do a carvery on a Sunday, which I sure...

I can see why hungry walkers on the Canal love it. When we walked in the sound system was way too loud to hold a conversation. It was duly turned down on asking. Great. The publican (" under new management" in big capital letters!) told us if we felt the portions were over generous as he heard one of us say, we could always request a child's portion. Good to know, should we ever return. The locals in the bar next to the dining area got rowdier and rowdier the more they drank. Again, fair enough, it was a Friday and they were celebrating the fact. Defo...
Read moreVery friendly staff started to come here regularly for a drop of breakfast with the wife, this is now the only breakfast stop in all of hythe. You get an absolute mountain of food for the price. With tea coffee or a juice and toast and fried bread, it's all included. If you haven't tried the breakfast I would strongly recommend them. On the bar, there is also a selection of fresh cakes made by a local lady different cakes each week, very much worth a nibble. And free...
