I have probably driven past the Airport Cafe more times than I can remember but never had time to actually stop by and see what it has to offer. I was traveling back home from Canterbury and decided to drop off the motorway and take the back road instead. I had my mother with me and I asked her if she wanted to grab a coffee and something to eat, shortly after we saw the Airport Cafe and decided to drop in and give it a try. Firstly this place is huge with two large carparks on either side of the cafe, there were probably eigh to ten articulated lorries and fifteen to twenty cars already parked when we arrived and there was still ample parking space. Now let's get to the most important part, the cafe itself, it offers seating for about 60 people, it is very clean and well presented and they were following the current Covid 19 guidelines to the letter, social distancing, face coverings when not seated at a table and cleaning both tables and chairs after each customer leaving. I think that there were five maybe 6 waitresses, they all wore face coverings and were very friendly and helpful and extremely efficient, given that it was about 70 degrees I was very impressed. Now let's get to the food, there is a superb and extensive menu available and in addition you can simply ask to add or remove items and they were happy to accommodate. I chose the all day breakfast which consisted of 2 rashes of bacon, 2 egg's, 3 plum tomatoes, 1 sausage, bubble and squeak, 1 fried slice, mushrooms and a round of bread and butter and a large decaffeinated tea. Everything was cooked to perfection, not greasy or swimming in fat, it was nicely presented on the plate and arrived at the table still hot. This came to £7.50 which is superb value for money in my opinion, mother thoroughly enjoyed her bacon eggs and chips with a large coffee. I have visited many cafés over the years and this is by far the best, I only wish I lived closer as I would definitely be a regular customer. The Airport Cafe is a real gem if you want a great meal, it is not just breakfast food on offer, there are many healthy options to choose from and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are passing through I have to say that you will not be disappointed. Visited again today and it is still excellent value for money 10 out of 10 in every aspect, you really can't...

I've visited this business several times over the years. I've always found the business to be... very informal. This never used to bother me, but I've certainly changed my mind about that after my last visit.

I asked about substitutions due to food intolerances. The staff member responded in a very disinterested manner, and offered no substitutions at all.

I realise this café/diner has a very informal and casual approach to serving customers, but the way she handled my query was a step too far. Totally unacceptable.

Some of the seats are very uncomfortable because they can't be moved and are far too close to the tables.

When your order is ready, they just shout out your order number. It's not clear if they're going to bring the order to you, or if you need to pick up your order from the counter. Very clumsy and disorganised. It can get very loud in the café which makes it even more difficult to hear them shouting out order numbers.

The environment feels like a loud and disorganised 70s diner. It was too loud, the seating was uncomfortable and the staff are just too unprofessional.

I won't be returning to this...

I'm glad the truck stop on the motorway was closed. The Airport cafe is only just over a mile from the roundabout, wide country road, and plenty of parking. Just had a full English, perfectly cooked and a decent mug of tea, in a proper mug not a paper tumbler. The staff are pleasant and professional. I'm now set up for the day and a long journey. Thanks, girls.! I'll be back. Sorry, no picture, I ate it all,!

28/2/22 Another most enjoyable breakfast. I'm just off the Eurotunnel, and this gives me time to contemplate driving on the other side of the road.

5/9/22 I remembered to take a photograph this time before demolishing the fare. Ok there is a couple of mouthfuls missing. Thanks girls.

1/3/23 Most excellent start to the day, and a warm welcome back into the uk. Keep up the good work.

7/9/23 Another delicious breakfast, and equally important a hot mug of tea.

5/9/24 Another successful visit. "Express breakfast" today, the bubble and squeak was a delicious addition, it comes recommended. Thanks girls, you've...

Proper old-school café – great food, great prices! Stopped by The Airport Café in Kent and was really impressed. It’s exactly what you'd hope for in a classic roadside café—clean, straightforward, and full of character. There's plenty of parking, and it’s really easy to get to, just off the main road. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the service was quick even though it was fairly busy. The menu has all the proper British favourites—from full English breakfasts to hearty sandwiches—and the portions were generous. Great value for money too, especially considering how much you get! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and all the other customers seemed just as happy with their meals. No frills, no fuss—just good food, good service, and a great pit stop whether you're a local or just passing through.

The is one of my favourite cafes. Nicely located on the a20, plenty of car parking spaces and open until late Monday to Friday. The are following the guidelines from the government in regards to Covid-19 protocol. Staff where lovely and greeted me upon my entry. Didn’t tell my new order number but not going to hold it against them. Next time I am going there, I will order the vegan full English breakfast. Prices are reasonable and food is enjoyable to eat. There is a little pod, for an intimate meal with loved ones
