I and my wife were in Gloucestershire for the weekend to recharge our batteries. We found this charming local pub and decided to grab a few drinks and a bite to eat. Wooooowwww! It was really good! We were a little bit circumspect initially whether to dine here or not, reading a lot of negative reviews about their food. But we were super happy with the food. My wife had their Soup of the Day and I had Steak & Ale pie. Both were amazing!

Stopped here for a quick drink as we were a little early for our check in. Popped in again the following day on return from a day out. Had Sunday lunch before journey home. Suffice to say this lovely pub became our 'local' whilst in the area. Food was delicious, landlord and landlady were friendly and welcoming, drinks were cold. Thoroughly recommend.

A cosy, traditional country pub. I love the interior: patterned carpet, beams and horse brasses. If you want the romance of an olde worlde country pub, this is the place for you. The man who served me was very friendly, and it was very cheap for a pint and a bowl of chips!

Absolutely wonderful pub, came in as strangers and left feeling like locals. Cant recommend this place enough! Steve and Jane the owners are so kind, welcoming and lovely. The food is all fresh and homemade and is delicious. The locals are so friendly too, even to us welshies! Special mention to John and his stories and Steve and Sarah for making our night so much fun. We and our 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, pub is very dog friendly and ours loved meeting Laura's 2 frenchies, especially baby Vinnie. I really hope locals and tourists alike support this pub, as it would be an incredible shame to lose a gem such as this. Thank you all so much for making our weekend...

One of the two bar staff was really friendly and personable, leading us to go again the next day, but on that occasion, the other member of bar staff made our family group feel distinctly unwelcome when they weren't noticeably busy. Fairly standard array of pub food options, sadly let down by a failure to deliver on a couple of tweaks to pizza toppings, and apparently by not restocking for a number of days apart, as the vegetarian options were whittled down each time we tried to return...

This pub is definitely a must but a shame that it's closed Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday otherwise we would have been back for more tasty food and tried the other fantastic selection of beer, ales and ciders. Staff are very helpful and really don't mind going that extra mile for you , it's dog friendly so our large and very slobbery french mastiff enjoyed the feast along side us. A visit is a must and hope to be back next year. Strongly...
