I recently visited Seven Bore for a Sunday carvery, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The highlight for me was the roast potatoes—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with their gravy, which had that rich, “old-school” flavor that brought back memories of home-cooked Sunday roasts, it was a true comfort meal. The meats were simply perfection—tender, juicy, and cooked to exactly the right temperature. Whether you opted for beef, turkey or gammon, each cut melted in your mouth. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was attentive, making it a lovely spot for a relaxed, hearty meal. If you’re after a traditional Sunday roast done right, Seven Bore is definitely worth a visit!

Fabulous carvery Sunday lunch and great value too. Very friendly and welcoming with great beer too (Butty Bach, Doombar to name but two). Right next to the Severn with wonderful views of the river from the garden.

Great little pub right on the riverbank, perfect if you're en route to or coming back into the forest of Dean from Gloucester. Good beer. Great service. Family friendly. Lovely beer garden.

Booked a table for 6 adults and turned up an hour or so earlier, so we could have a drink before our meal. Our server seemed rushed off her feet, she had to ask for extra help while she served us. However, once drinks were served, she showed us to our table and offered her assistance if we should so need. We sat outside for a couple of drinks. There was music playing (a little loud for my dad, so we moved away from the speakers). She then came out and warned us that one of the meats was running low so to collect our meals sooner to make sure we had all 3 meats, if we wanted. The food was amazing. Well cooked and very tasty. Good service from a younger lady, who also offered us take out desserts. This was a good service as we were all very full after our mains! The two ladies that served us, we're very friendly and super efficient! Will definitely...

Food quality good, numerous choices of beer, I had the Butty, fantastic beer. The staff were lovely and helpfull. The loss of a stare was for 3 things, first when we arrived I went straight in to let the staff know we had arrived as we were 5min late and the rest of the party were sorting the wheel chair and our 80 year old friend. We waited at the table for 10min and I had to find someone to ask if we had to order beer at the bar, a nice lady then came to take the drinks order for the six of us, only 4 drinks arrived, I had to go and ask for them. The same happened with the dessert, one lady wanted a coffee that did not arrive. I would still recommend...
