Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Gateshead

Lady serving was friendly and bubbly until it came time to serve me, then her whole demeanor changed - I have trouble speaking in public and she made it so much worse. My order changes seemed to annoy her and I had to repeat myself several times that I wanted to take away even though she asked every single customer before me what they would like with a big smile on her face. I'm really not sure what I did to make someone treat me so differently to anyone else, I felt very emotional afterwards I just couldn't understand why she would completely change when I ordered.. I was just wanting a nice treat to begin my day and I was in a good mood until that.

My order was wrong and when I said it was they ignored me and continued to serve people. Absolutely ruined my morning, a very horrible start to the day - definitely only using drive thru at peel...

Today we went to get some fish & Chips from Bells next to Costa, as it was lovely & sunny when we finished our food we went to put it in the bins out side only to find they where overflowing rubbish all over the floor the vast majority of the rubbish is takeaway cups from Costa, I find this absolutely disgusting I'm trying to eat outside as you can't eat inside because of pandemic and you're sitting among rubbish, Costa should have a bin outside outside to put their rubbish in something need doing about this & fast as it's going to attract rats or vermin the seagulls are already pulling things from...

A Costa coffee shop is at the end of the day quite generic. As Costas go this is more of the same. They try but the service as with so many other Costa Coffee outlets, is slow. There must be something on the training that say once the customer pays for their beverage there is no rush to supply the goods. It doesn't have to be that way. I have been to Costa outlets when the cashier and barista has worked in one and the coffee is being prepared as I am paying and so ready for when I reach the serving area. This is the exception though. Nothing wrong with this outlet just the way Costa Coffee is...
