This is a fantastic golf course. One of the best I've played in a long time. The greens were immaculate possibly the best I've ever had the pleasure of playing on. The course is reasonably challenging and has a lot of character. With some stunning views down the fairways on some holes. I played on a warm sunny day after a run of dry weather so the greens were really fast and true. It took me a while to gauge my putting and a few times my ball landed on the green and rolled off the other side. I didn't mind it made the round more fun. I hired a golf cart but I wouldn't recommend it as the fairways are not flat at all which means you bounce up and down all the way round with your clubs clanging in your ear (If you have ever played Gosforth golf course they are all like the 18 fairway). This feature makes playing the fairways more fun and interesting. Next time I'm going to use my trolley and walk. The golf course is elevated so you get lovely views of the surrounding area especially from the first tee. The pictures of the Angel of the north are from the 18 fairway. This means it was a little windy which added an extra challenge on some holes. The facilities are good especially the changing room which is huge with loads of lockers. I didn't eat order drink and only visited the pro shop which was well stocked. The pro was really friendly and helpful as was everyone I met on the way round. I look forward to playing this course again.

Great place with a beautiful view. Came here for a party recently and it's a lovely venue with reasonable bar prices and such an awesome view from the terrace

Never have a party here because you will be very disappointed .I had a party here a week ago from start to finish it was a total nightmare . aggressive phone calls from Craig catering manager saying we never payed deposit picked food for the buffet never payed outstanding balance all of which we had done before every phone call .was told I could decorate room at 3 .which was still full of customers .came back at 7 still customers in the bar the room hadn't been cleaned which we had to clear tables .Then we come to the food .omg I still can't get over it . Craig said if you have 70 guests you caterer for 50 because there was plenty food .so that's what we done and added on pizza and chips .There was about 60 guests there and half of my guests did not eat there was no food left and the pizza and chips did not even make it to the table .I have never been so embarrassed in my life .And the food was a disgrace frozen sausage rolls stall bread sandwiches and egg mayonnaise in a wrap and pie and quiche cut up so small it was the size of a Lego brick . When we spoke to Craig the next day what a attitude and couldn't care less attitude .He said there was nothing wrong with the food and there was plenty so why did half of the guests not eat .He would only offer us £50 back which was the price of the pizza and chips which he said he had forgot about .well that's ok then because you forgot .It is such a shame because the balcony on the back over looking the golf course was beautiful .but I would never recommed anyone to have a party thanks so much for embarrassing me and my husband on our sons...

Despite the chill of winter, the course at Ravensworth Golf Club was in exceptional condition and far exceeded my expectations. The staff were extremely welcoming, which made for a great experience from the start.

The course itself boasts some fantastic holes, featuring tight fairways and plenty of elevation changes that provide a challenging yet enjoyable round. It’s also very well priced, and I’d definitely return.

My only slight negative observation was regarding the pace of play later in the morning. I was fortunate to have one of the first tee times of the day, but by around 8–9 o’clock, it appeared quite backed up—a situation that might be frustrating for later tee times.

Overall, a great course and well...
