The Fiddlers Three — Restaurant in Gateshead

Leaving this review because I still feel so deceived two weeks later. Saw a Chinese BUFFET advertised on Facebook so took the family. 14.95 pp. For my first plate I got 4 bits of sweet and sour chicken as a starter, when I returned the buffet was closed up and I was told it was only 1 plate. I immediately addressed I wasn't paying 14.95 for what was 4 bits of battered bitesize chicken. The "chef" came over and opened everything up so I had to pile everything onto my plate - he didn't half make me feel like a inconvienience for doing so. Never again for that price. It wasn't advertised at all as "1 plate only" nor were we told on arrival. Food was average - too much soy used. Man with the glasses who took us took us to our table was polite enough. Treated my sister for her birthday today. We ordered fish goujons and chicken giro both with chunky chips disappointed with the goujons as you got 1 and a couple of scrappy bits, although I don’t like to complain I thought it was poor but to be fair to the staff when my sister said she would have ordered a fish instead had she have known they did change it at no extra cost. Lady On The next table to us had ordered the same and got 2 goujons. My sister and I have gone there every couple of weeks for lunch until lockdown under the previous owners and were never disappointed. Had a meal here today 20th June 24, three out of four meals were OK, typical pub grub. But the fourth Fish and chips was disgusting, the fish was the poorest I've ever seen hardly any actual fish on it, over cooked to the point you couldn't cut it let alone eat it. Did complain near the end of the meal when there was still enough there to see how poor it was but was told they would inform the "chef" and that was it. The "Chef" should never have even attempted to cook it never mind send it out. Avoid because the complaint procedure is none existent.
