Royal Gurkha Newstead Nottingham — Restaurant in Gedling

Manager insists on £20 minimum spend to eat in. Food was good but we nolonger eat here. As loyal regulars this seems like a very disrespectful policy. They also add a service charge not on the menu. Management has gotten too greedy. On site staff are nice and polite. I won't be returning anytime soon.

1. we often spend £12 - £16 and come regularly. We offered to pay a minimum of £12 but you insist on £20.

2. AC and lights are on anyway. I don't mind eating in the dark if you insist.

3. restaurant is usually empty and when there was a big party, I volunteered to move tables to accomodate the party. I also waited 90 minutes for my food that day and never complained.

4. the "inconvenient time" we still left before closing time. Not my fault your staff want to leave early. Why say you are open until 10pm if you want to leave the building at 9:30?

Overall, I feel very unappreciated and disrespected by your sudden new policy which you didn't even have the guts to tell me...

My 13yr old son loves the food from this place, as do I. We have only usually had our food delivered, so as part of his birthday celebrations he chose to dine at their restaurant. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem! The staff are so kind, courteous and considerate. They cannot do enough to make your visit there as pleasant as possible. The food is God tier! The best Hot Meat Puri I have ever had! Phenomenal. All the food is delicious. There was no negatives at all about our meal. It was perfect! The icing on the cake (literally!) was when the staff bought out a birthday cake, complete with candle, that they had arranged for my sons birthday without our knowing! It was seriously the sweetest, most kindest, gesture ever! We were all so touched. The Royal Gurkha, Newstead, is an outstanding restaurant that doesn't get anywhere near the recognition it...

Do not ordered not here I found hair in my food and there trying to say they don’t have hair everybody as eyebrow hair and eyelash they have now started to be very rude when I first called up about it they was saying they would send me more food and I said no as I don’t want anymore food they was saying there busy and there sorry it’s not good enough making loads off excuse snd so on not gonna go into all the in and out cause don’t even wanna give it to much air time but they given me my money back and it’s still not the point do not...
