Orhans Kebab Place — Restaurant in Gosport

Tonight I ordered a takeaway but this one time I have been VERY disappointed with the service and the food. Previously I have had little bits wrong but tonight was the worse. When my takeaway arrived, I checked the recept for my comments to see if they received them. The comments were not on there. When I called them up, the man on the phone was rude. He didn't listen to half of the comments that I was making and interrupted me whilst talking. This meant he then had to double check what I was trying to say. He then went to talk to the manager. Whilst he was talking to the manager I heard EVERYTHING that was said. The manager said well they are NOT getting a whole new meal because the comments didn't come up. The man on the phone kept asking what should I do. All the manager said was I don't know just anything but they're not getting a new meal. In the end they sent the bits that we wanted. But I had to wait another 30 to 45 minutes for the rest of the meal to arrive. At this point my meal that came 35 minutes before that was cold. So I had stone cold burger with no salad in which I only realised when my other bits arrived. The chips in the original meals were soggy. The new chips weren't much better.

Never have I had such horrible service from here before tonight. I'm not sure if this is because they are busy but it's not acceptable. I did put the comments I wanted on the meal on my order online but for the staff members, it was my fault it didn't come through when I did comfirm it. To then have the manager being disrespectful when I heard it all down the phone. Such a disappointment to me and my other half when we usually use this...

Sadly time to find another kebab place. We've used this place for years & the food has always been consistently good, fast delivery, hot food & polite drivers. The problem we have now is that the last 3 orders have been incorrect with food missing & we are now being treated as liars. Because of their mistakes it means that 1 or 2 people cant eat with the rest due to their meal or part meal being missing, not being funny but I do expect to get the food I've paid for & not to be made out to be a liar by demanding part food back to make sure we haven't eaten it!! I don't see why part of my order should get stone cold while waiting for the missing part & I think it was unreasonable to expect us to do that!! I cant fault the drivers or the guys who I've rung to get my order sorted, they have been fantastic. I rarely leave reviews but feel inclined to do so. I have been using the same two kebab shops for the last 20 years. I got a menu through the door for Orhans and thought I'd gamble and try somewhere new. And so glad I did.

It is without doubt the best chicken shish kebab I have ever had. Perfectly cooked and charred chicken, moist and full of flavour. Tastes like bbq but better. The portions and size is huge. The chilli and garlic sauce I asked for extra, along with extra salad as I didn't have a pitta and they really have been very generous.

Best kebab I've had and I have had many over the years.

Secondly, the polite and cheerful lady on the phone who was extremely helpful seemed to be in a good mood and excellent phone manner.

Lastly the delivery guy was also friendly.

Just a 10/10 experience and Orhans have now got a new customer!
