I visited this place for a Sunday roast and was initially unsure about it. When I first found it on the map, I thought it was a Korean or other Asian cuisine due to the misleading name. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table, with the service being excellent throughout our visit. I was a bit cautious about the food, especially since the roast was only £13.95, which seemed quite cheap and made me concerned about the quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the roast was decent, offering good value for the price. Unfortunately, the starter was a letdown as it seemed like it had been bought from the supermarket. As for the vibe and ambience, it felt a bit odd and overly bright, but I did notice many older patrons, which might explain the atmosphere if that's their target demographic. While I won’t be returning, if you're looking for decent food at a great value, this place is worth considering.

Ho ho ho - You guessed it we visited on Christmas Eve, pre booked and preordered a month in advance for my Dad's surprise birthday lunch. Plenty of parking and access was good. Pub is very bright and open, we were expecting a normal table but was ushered into the corner using two drink tables and soft armchairs for six people, the heights were so different we felt like elf's - well at least it was in the theme of things lol! Food was well cooked but as others have mentioned slightly bland. Nevertheless an enjoyable lunch with attentive staff...3/5

Had a lovely lunch here with my family this week (during the week). The restaurant was busy but we managed to get the last table in a non-reserved section. Probably worth booking if you know you are planning a visit. They have a lunch menu which had a good selection including sandwiches/baguettes and jacket potatoes. We ordered 2 baguettes and a jacket potato. Portions were very good and the food was lovely.

Do not go if gluten free! (Or at all...) Came here this afternoon for my birthday lunch with my family after they had a great meal here a few weeks ago. The visit was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Having a stomach problem meaning that I'm allergic to gluten, onion and garlic (nightmare!) we called ahead and were assured that everything was cooked fresh so I can "pretty much choose what I want"...however when I got there it couldn't have been farther from the truth and the manageress looked like I was an invalid from the first hurdle when I asked about gluten free.

After being told the only options were chicken, jacket potato or chips I went for the jacket. Whilst waiting an hour for our food my nephew's fish fingers arrived as a large plate of undercooked, greasy battered cod. The fish smelt so strongly that we were sure if was off so we told the waitress who was extremely rude (even more so than our first greying when she told us we couldn't order from outside as we "might run off"?!) and assured us that it "was delivered fresh today" (weird as they said home made?!) but the manageress refunded and replaced...with the replacement basically thrown on the table by the rude waitress!!

An hour later after chasing our meals, our three salads, jacket and chips turned up. At this point we were starving, yet we're greeted with awarm limp lettuce salad, soggy croutons and rock hard chicken! (The jacket was actually good!) The anchovies came out 10 minutes later as the manageress "couldn't get the tin open" (lovely and fresh!!) After having a few bites and a couple of chips we overheard the manageress talking about us in a completely unprofessional manner to another table! At this point we demanded a full refund and walked out!

Not only were we left hungry and annoyed, I have since not stopped vomiting. This is what happens when I eat gluten so the only possibility is that the chips were fried in the same oil as the battered fish or there was some sort of cross contamination.

Overall, horrendous experience - awful food and even more awful service. A shame as the revamp really does look beautiful, however the change of management has obviously been their downfall. And it wasn't just us who thought it as we could hear others say...

Arrived home in Shorne after a several hours of driving , too tired to cook so decided to try the See Ho, my local, for dinner. I didnt know what time they closed and crossed my fingers but it was still light. Walked in at exactly three minutes past nine but was promptly told we were too late as they close at 9.00 pm and "shut down the ovens " . I begged them be just a wee bit more flexible but they weren't having it . Manageress appeared and told me, stony faced , that they had closed and that was that. "Why didn't you get here earlier" she said , helpfully . She did offer a dessert . We headed down to Rochester and were welcomed with open arms by the friendly Italian staff at Don Vicenzo's as if we were long lost family. Within a few minutes we were being waited on like Kate and Wills and served some great fresh pasta ... doors open until 10.00 ( but probably later if you ask ) That's how to treat customers and do...
