Chatni — Restaurant in Great Britain

We turned up at 7.30pm and placed an order for two main meals only. We received some poppadoms at 8pm and the mains at 9pm. Admittedly the restaurant were two staff down but people were walking in for a take-away, ordering and leaving during this time.

We hoped that the food would make up for the delay but my wife's meal was supposed to have almonds yet came with cashews instead plus there was a lot of sauce and minimum vegetables. Mine also had lots of sauce, very little lamb and the onions hadn't been roasted.

When we left the owner did apologise but made no effort to either compensate us or offer us something if...

Booked a table for 15 for 1930hrs 3 Jan 2020. We were mostly old Morrison's Academy FPs who a couple of times a year meet up for a curry but this was the first time here. The Chatni was worth the drive out to Methven - some of us had come a long way. Far more people turned up than expected but the staff coped with the table adjustments in an already pretty full restaurant expertly and calmly. Everything was cooked to perfection and even one of the guests with an allergy to cloves was specially catered for very competently. A most enjoyable experience and one I cant wait to repeat!...

Wonderful food and great customer service!

My wife & I booked for our first visit in late April 2021. We shared a Mixed Starter which was fantastic (samosas, pakora & chicken tikka...). I then had the chef's special Green Herb Chicken whilst my wife chose the Vegetable Royal. My main dish was stunning but my wife was disappointed with her veg dish (which was mostly peppers & onions)... spotting this our waiter insisted on replacing the dish with a Mushroom Aloo Bhuna which was excellent. This restaurant really cares about its customers. Would we return?...
