Clyne is situated at the centre of a network of green spaces which collectively halt the westward expansion of the Swansea suburbs.
To the east is Clyne Country Park, to the west is Fairwood Common and Clyne Common to the south.
As such the area offers fantastic car-free opportunities for the cyclist, walker or horse rider.
There are four main access points with public mixed use paths/bridleways. Do stick to the way marked paths and avoid the fairways and greens.
Access 1 - opposite Campion Gardens, initially a gravelled track then a grassy path. Swings left and exits on Blackhills Lane
Access 2 - Top of Mayals Road, through the five bar gate. Takes you via a gravelled track to one of the two great views of Swansea Bay (the other being Kilvey Hill)
Access 3 - Off Westport Avenue, through Clyne Farm Centre
Access 4 - Blackhills Lane, either from the sharp corner or from the waymarked farm entrance.
There are elevated panoramic views, all the way from Lundy, the whole of the North Devon coast up to the Quantocks, and of course the whole sweep of Swansea Bay, right down...
Read moreWe are a society of 25 but to work commitments and some with covid we were only 8. We played there yesterday the weather was great. The young person in the pro shop was really helpful. We were met by the club captain on the first tee which i think was great dont normally have this. He welcomed us and wished us a great day and would be glad to see us again. The course itself was in good condition and the greens were quick and sometimes difficult to read which we all enjoyed. There was a few sheep and horses on the fairways but they didnt bother us in any way. The greens were all fenced off but again it wasnt any concern. After our game we went in the clubhouse where the staff were friendly. Unfortunately there was no meals served on this day. A little disappointed with that. We wont have any problems in returning in the future. We all had a great day. Thank you clyne golf club Steve curtis plus...

The wire fence around the greens did not interfere in any of our 36 holes; if someone says it did then they were probably having a bad round and were looking for excuses. The sheep and horses add to the fun experience and character of this place; helps calm you for your game. Couple of well protected greens on par 5s that tempt those wanting to get up in 2. 3 Par 3s can be reached with a lofted iron but miss the green and you find trouble as they are strategically protected. County cards accepted for Lancashire which made it a bargain round . A must for all club golfers with an open mind. Will be back...
