I ordered food for myself wife and 2 sons I ordered gammon she said they had run out of eggs would I like something else I said onion rings are fine when my meal eventually game my onion rings where rock hard and my gammon was burnt I sent it back and the manager who was a lovely young girl asked if I wanted a stake or something as a replacement I asked for a medium stake this came back rare and my rings where soggy I sent it back and the chef re heated the stake which was the same stake and I cut into my mushrooms tomato and peas where now freezing cold my family where waiting on me as they all had been finished for quite a while it was unexcitable I would just like to clarify that this was not the pub I should be referring to the pub in question is The Harbour which is not to far...

Really polite staff and nice little beer garden, however the food was very unsatisfactory. We had three Sunday roasts and a normal burger, the burger and chips were fine but the Sunday roasts were very disappointing. The roast potatoes tasted very strongly of vinegar and the meat tasted sour and we could tell it was old meat. The veg was hard and tasted frozen and the gravy was way too watery. It just wasn't pleasant and we ended up disappointingly having to leave off alot on our plate. We did let the waiter know serving us (who was very polite) that my mother's meat on her plate was sour tasting and he had it changed right away. So thankyou for that. We pass this place on a regular basis, and had been meaning to try the food for ages. Finally found the right time, so in we went on Tuesday. Such a good decision.,!! We reviewed a warm greeting from the manager, who was well presented and witty. We were shown to a table, and ordered from an extensive and exciting menu. The service was excellent, and the food was hot, arrived quickly and was of a high standard. The chef came out to ask how the food was, and there were clean plates all round ! Atmosphere was friendly and there were families also enjoying the ambience. We left with full stomachs and happy thoughts of returning in the future.
