Fish: good size crispy batter tasted fresh drowning in oil

Chips: size soggy (For the staff: have a look at the chips before you serve them, do they look soggy or crispy and well done? Do you like soggy chips? No? Neither does anybody else, put them back in)

Cuillen skink: better than most places still a bit tasteless, stronger stock, adding some fresh parsley and bay leaf, shallots or a properly caramelised onion to add a bit of flavour with a bit of pepper would go a long way I don’t know how big your mouth is, I’m a decent built guy, but even I struggle to put whole half of potatoes in my mouth, a bit of chopping would be ace (and no, it wasn’t just the one) ~ consider serving with fresh bread, yes, pain and an expense, but would go a long way adding to the taste

~ price is decent complimentary sauces great tartar sauce, though a bit too much vinegar imho

P.S.: it wasn’t busy (at all) when I visited. Small changes and a bit better quality control would make huge improvement. Genuinely would love to see this...

Being landlocked at home we always tend to eat lots of fresh fish when on holiday at the coast. I found & had been following Fisherman's Kitchen on Instagram since we booked our holiday cottage a year ago as it was the closest to our cottage. It certainly lived up to our expectations & it was so good we ended up eating from here 4 times (chips & smoked salmon were from supermarket that were pictured with the fishcakes everything else pictured was from Fisherman's Kitchen). The prawn salad rolls, the fishcakes & the fish & chips were so yummy, but I think a special mention has to be made for the absolutely sensational fish platter that we had on our last night before heading home! If you want a platter you will need to message then in advance (we messaged via Facebook messenger). If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be...
