Halfway Diner — Restaurant in Great Britain

In the past we have had breakfast which are really nice substancial. But we had mini fish and chips this time and it was the best fish and chips I had for a long time, it was 3/4 in high in white fish and 7-8 inches long and it was just pure white fish no grey or just batter, the chips are always nice and to top off you can have a pot of curry sauce or mushy peas. Staff I very pleasant and respectable. You can dine inside or out. They only take cash sale although there is a machine outside that charges £1.25. I don't know who did put 5 star review on this place, but it cant be people who was here. So , foodwise , my misses have ordered English breakfast, and omg , it looked absolutley disgusting, same as my burger ! You are expecting more for 15 pounds than dirty plate with beans and egg as well as small burger with little bit of lettuce which looks like tired thing after heavy working day lol . Toilets are dirty as well as fly going all around place, which are on food as well . 0 hygiene and not really nice customer service . Pass this place and chose one what are 4...

Fabulous little place! On the way back home to Wales, and wondering if we'd find anything open on a Sunday afternoon, when we saw the Halfway Diner. A friendly welcome, great service, the best cup of tea we'd had for days, and freshly cooked, tasty food. We didn't have to clean the table before we sat down as we do in most pubs we visit, as they keep this place spotless. Would definitely recommend....we had gammon, pineapple, egg, chips and salad...for a VERY reasonable price. It's the smiling, friendly staff/owners that put the icing on the cake...
