Newton Arms — Restaurant in Great Britain

Food - salt n chilli burger with cheese. Waited half an hour for it and I think it was being cooked for the full half an hour. Rock solid and burnt. Staff never seemed bothered - took the plate away (as seen in photo) with no care in the world that I left the burger uneaten. So £10 for chips and onion rings.

The table ordered 7 mains and while I waited half an hour, 2 in the table waited for over an hour. Why aren't plates being sent out when all food is ready?

Service - like I said , staff never seemed bothered with the burger. And the wait. But the bar staff were pleasant enough.

Atmosphere - busy place. Not much else to say.

To the reply - thanks for the reply. Yes it was in 3 different orders but they all said table 1. I doubt I'll be back as the pub is a little bit out the way for me and I was only there due to it being someone's birthday. And tbh, the chef should be bake to see that the burger was burnt and solid and they still sent it...

First time in the place and I'm pleasantly surprised. Food was much better than I expected. Steak pie was actually really good. Mash tatties I liked even though I don't normally like them. I got the macaroni cheese that was supposed to be bacon crusted whatever that means but there was no sign of any bacon. Best not say it on the menu if its not in the dish. The Newton Arms is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. Spacious inside and a secluded play around for the kids to run about. The staff are very polite and always serve with a smile. The food on offer smelt very tasty although I personally did not eat on the day of our visit but others at the table did and enjoyed their food and also the portion size.
