We decided to give this place a try for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration and we booked a table for ten people on a Saturday night. It was the right decision with all six adults and four children being well pleased with both the main course and desserts and returning ten clean plates from both our courses, so nothing to take home for the dogs. There were three vegetarians among us and they had a good selection to choose from, and the carnivores among us were also presented with a good variety of options. We didn't have starters, so I can't comment on them, but I would imagine it would be similar, judging by what we were served with. The bottom line is excellent food, in a pleasant and roomy space with a good selection of menu options at a reasonable price, all served by attentive staff and plenty of on-site parking. First time dining here today with friends. Gotta say, the service was spot on. The food was really good, home cooked and very tasty. Not a big selection of ales, so I went for the IPA on draught which was an exceptionally good cloudy zingy brew. The ambience was akin to eating in a high quality dining establishment for a fraction of the price. We all enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at very reasonable prices, and will certainly be coming again. Five of us visited last night for a 50th birthday meal for our daughter and we can honestly say it was absolutely superb from start to finish. All of the staff were so helpful and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. Plenty of choice on the menu and very generous portions, piping hot and so delicious.
