Oakfield Kebab & Fast food — Restaurant in Great Britain

The very best thing I can say about Oakfield Kebab & Fast Food is that the food wasn't awful. Unfortunately, it was far from great. I didn't mind paying £3.50 for a large portion of chips, even though the chips were frozen and I had to wait for them to be cooked from scratch, but they were smothered in so much salt that I ended up having to throw most of them away. The rest of the meal was greasy and salty, though the saltiness wasn't quite as bad as the chips and it helped to conceal the fact that most of the food was flavourless.

The shop is relatively clean and well presented, but the attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. I understand that few people dream of working in such a place, but greeting a customer with the words "what do you want?" is far from professional. We order for delivery, about once a week, where like all take outs, some days are better than others. But… The food is always fresh & hot, with decent sized portions for the price. The delivery charge is fair, and generally delivered within a decent time frame. My wife likes spicy, white I go for omelettes, pasta, scampi or a baked potato, & for our grandson the children’s menu is perfect. Just awful. In Scotland for a holiday. Decided to have a lazy evening meal. The food was appalling! Burger, carbonara and kebab thrown in the bin. Ended up eating chips. Just passable. Come on, a burger and kebab isn't rocket science for a takeaway. We come from Yorkshire and were expecting so much better. Our advice? Don't let people, and more importantly yourselves down. Buy good beef and make smaller portions. Get kebabs right. And NEVER make...
