We recently visited a pub while looking for a place to stay in our campervan, and it was our first outing in it, so we were a bit inexperienced. I found the pub online and called for information; the young lady who answered was incredibly helpful. We decided to head straight there. The hospitality was exceptional, and the food was delightful—definitely try the steak and ale pie! 😋 Staying in a campervan without a toilet can be a bit concerning, but the landlady's mother kindly gave us her mobile number in case we needed assistance. While we hoped not to call her in the middle of the night, it was a thoughtful gesture. If you're visiting New Quay or the surrounding area, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal. Just a heads-up: if you plan to stay overnight, let them know as soon as possible, as the car park isn’t very large.

Booked for Sunday lunch for 5 adults. 1 had lamb, 1 had pork lunch the meat was ok not great and didn't look as though it had been cooked on site . The 3 others had beef. This was tough and very stringy, very low quality and the Yorkshire puddings, they where something else literary something else just see the photo of one cut in half🤮. Not sure if it was a muffin 🤣 but defiantly not a Yorkshire puddings.... when staff where asked if meat was cooked in house he said no. I asked if this was a Yorkshire pudding, he just looked at it and said he would pass it on. The veg was from all cooked from frozen peas and carrot mix, along with the roast potatoes, the mash was very lumpy ....... Would I eat here again not a chance in hell. No apology or discount offered.

Absolutely smashing. Stopped by with a team of 14 and our order was handled with finesse and charm, the staff particularly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and my request to have two of the orders put into doggy-bags (due to a abscence through illness) handled perfectly. Cooking instructions included for the dessert which was frozen which was a lovely touch. Only criticism: only one proper ale on tap at the time, but at least it was a good local one.

Our first evening on holiday in the area, there was 9 of us all hungry and thirsty! The pub has a children's play area as well as outside seating. Inside there is a very pleasant longer bar with a small restaurant off the main bar area. We had booked in advance and so we sat at our reserved table. The menu has a good choice and I opted for the rump steak. All food is freshly cooked and so there was time for a couple of pints of the excellent Bass beer whilst waiting. 9 of us are and drank, including 3 children, and the bill was just over ÂŁ100. I can recommend this great little pub for pleasant and courteous service, good beer and good food. We will...
