We love roasts. We only eat roasts Sunday and Christmas. I'm glad we used one of our precious Sundays for this 10/10 experience. Albeit a nightmare for the lactose intolerant among us, the stunning decor more than made up for it. The sheer amount of cheese delivered was monumental, portions more than ample and what a delightful wooden walkway into this country gem.

Stopped off here while we were staying at Gowerton golf club. The food was gorgeous. I ate out of my comfort zone and I wasn't disappointed. The service was fab. Friendly fast and efficient. The grounds were beautiful too. Would highly recommend

Really nice pub -in the middle of the Gower/nowhere- superfriendly service/staff; Extensive menu and good quality (e.g. the chocolate fudge cake!). We'll come back surely ! Appendix: special menu on sundays (until 4 p.m. -> sunday roast!)

Got to be up there with one of the worst places we have visited for food. The food was horrendous, they served a chicken which was undercooked and pink inside to a table with a 10 month old baby. The service well even worse, they should have a massive sign on the door saying babies/children not welcome because they hated the fact that our young baby was a bit upset while waiting for food to arrive (very normal for babies). No customer service at all , not one person served us with a smile and the staff looked very unapproachable. To think with the pumpkin field across the road where loads of babies and children come to visit this place would be very child friendly. Maybe you can only be from around the area or a regular to be served with a smile in this place. The regulars even muttering comments about a baby being there and made us feel very uncomfortable...

Called in on a cold night wanting something warm and filling. My partner ordered a chicken breast with chips and i ordered a chilli con carne. Huge amount of rice and hardly any chilli. What was there of the chilli was old and with the beans rock hard. My partners chicken breast arrived as a chicken burger which was very dry and again old. We said we didn't order a burger and the waitress said wasn't marked down as a burger but it was advertised in the burger section. Very poor. The one piece of garlic bread that was ordered was burnt black. Before the meal arrived we said we would call in in the summer to eat outside. That idea changed once we had this awful meal an we will give this pub a wide berth next time. Half pint of cold Guinness was lovely though. If you want a drink call in. If you want a nice meal....

Probably the cleanest pub I've ever been to. In new hands this week I'm told. (21 October 2017) A pleasure to find so close to where we're staying this week. We'll be back again at least once in the week.

A great selection on the menu. My wife had chicken soup that she could tell was home made whilst our children and I had tuna mayo melt sandwiches that were equally delicious.

It's obviously only just been updated because the decorating is pristine. This is exactly what you'd hope every pub was like: low ceilings, exposed beams, cosy corners, warm atmosphere and friendly,...
