The Blisland Inn — Restaurant in Great Britain

We have visited here a couple of times previously and found it to be excellent... so whilst in the area again we paid another visit.. They have an excellent selection of ales on tap. a couple of which were made specifically for the pub.. and I noted on my beer app (Untappd) that a couple made by Sharp's in Rock have been out of production for a while now.. So great to find them and get the chance to sample them.. providing they are still good of course.. which they certainly appeared to be.. The food on this occasion was not so good, we ordered the thai chicken curry it arrived in timely fashion and a large portion almost overflowing the plates. The chicken was fine but unfortunately it appeared that the sauce had been over thickened and instead of quite a thin sauce as is usual with thai curries it was somewhat slimy and gelatinous and whilst not really unpleasant it just wasn't right.. so we left a good half of it. We shrigged it off and went with a couple more beers.. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the bar and there is a seating and tables area outside which on this sunny...

This place is absolutely spectacular. The pub is located in a beautiful village, is cosy and the staff are very welcoming. I had such trouble choosing which meal to eat, and the whole family were adamant that their food choice was the best.

My partner had the beef cheek special. This was amazingly cooked and melts in the mouth as you eat it, has a classic beef cheek stew taste. My mom had the crab sandwich and said that it was the best crab sandwich she's ever had. I had the venison lasagne, which was gorgeously rich. I ate every mouthful beyond the point of stuffed. You can't go wrong with the menu, but no matter what you choose, you will miss out!

The food alone is worth a journey to Cornwall. This place has stuck in my mind for ten years, with every visit being the highlight of my trip to Cornwall. I would recommend time...

The Blisland Inn is a quite exceptional pub! So much so, that it's reputation went before it, as I booked accommodation in the village for two nights especially so we could spend some time there and it didn't disappoint. My wife and I had dinner and a few drinks on the Friday night. A hearty curry and a lush steak were enjoyed and the portion sizes were agreeable to me, someone with a large appetite. Being a real ale fan, I had a pint of each of the beers and all were in excellent condition. On the Sunday night we visited again and we sat in the Public Bar side and were made most welcome by the staff and locals.
