Me my husband & our son We were holidaying just down the rd from here with my mother & father in-law so we booked in on Tue & Wed evening, we had a lovely evening on both night's hell of a lot of laughter going on with us all, the food on both evenings were AMAZING very tasty, my in-laws both had the steak really enjoyed it, our son had the beef burger he loved it, my husband had the beer battered cod he loved tht & I had the hunter's chicken tht was amazing aswel even the bartender said oohh look's like the chefs given u an extra slice of bacon there, the staff were very friendly on both evening's, on our second evening we found out that 1 of the staff a lovely young lad we were chatting with he said oh ur staying @ my nan's place bless him he was so friendly & full of smiles, this little pub is a right little gem & next time we are down here for a holiday we will definitely come here again...

On arrival there was no warm welcome or conversation. The pub was cold, no music, deadly silent. We were told that there was only a bar menu available, not much choice and the burger wasn’t available, my husband and I had the scampi and the sausage, chips and egg. There was no fish in the scampi and the sausage was full of gristle, definitely all frozen food. It’s safe to say we won’t be going back there. It doesn’t give me the option to reply to the owners comment, yes the bar staff said hello but no more conversation, yes we were asked if the food was ok and I politely said yes as I am a nice person and don’t want to cause a fuss, the plate was empty as the dog ate the sausage, she refused the scampi which was left on the plate. The whole family came here for my father in law's birthday and it was absolutely lovely. We were 6 adults & 3 children and we were all catered for exceptionally despite 4 of us being vegan. We called prior to the meal asking if they catered for vegans and they made a vegan nut roast to order with roasted vegetables which was absolutely delicious. My parents had the beef! The young lad that served us was so polite and very lovely and the landlady couldn't do enough for us. Really impressed with the service and 100% recommend the food.
