New chef and wow! Food is amazing, such a gem in the Tamar Valley. Open to everyone, not just the holiday rentals. Bar has cheaper pints than the nearest pub in village!! Friendly staff and glorious location. Outdoor space, fully accessible unlike other pubs nearby. Great for veggies (the best lasagne I've ever had, vegetarian for 33 years and I've had loads of dull pub lasagnes!), freshly prepared and mostly local food and the steak night is superb for the meat eaters. Chips are something special here, made by the chef...yes a proper chef, none of this frozen and reheated stuff most of the local pubs offer. The Sunday carvery is wonderful, evidence of this means booking is essential. Great value too, especially as they do a dip n dine option for a free swim on Sundays with the carvery. Definitely worth a visit or several. Child friendly of course, dog friendly and plenty of free on site parking. Lots of outside seating for summer days in and out of shade. Nice place shame nothing was on due to covid . The room with the great fireplace was cold when we had dinner in there . Hubby went for a drink one evening alone , they shut the bar at 10.00 never told anyone or asked if anyone if they would like another drink before leaving . Had a very wet rainy night and rain was running down the embankment into other residents lodges ,had to use sand bags to stop water getting in . Not a lot of games for young adults in the evening , plenty to do outside though in the day. Won't be going...

I recently visited the pub and restaurant within the Holiday park and was impressed with the lovely atmosphere and friendly hosts. The menu offered a great selection of dishes, including tasty options for children and even a warm welcome for furry friends.
