The Rest — Restaurant in Great Britain

Well ! .....WELL DONE to the team at The Rest in Neilston.... First time at this Newly refurbished Venue ...and very pleasantly surprised! ....on entering we were greeted by the bar man ....Stephen I think his name was .....we waited to be seated at our booked table .... ( the young waitress didn't have a name badge on, so don't know her name) the Restaurant was very welcoming, tasteful furnishings, and plenty of seating, tables for 2, we were a group of seven, and also comfortable looking booths. We were given menus?, askd what drinks we would like!, ....got our drinks, then we had another waitress Pauline! ....Pauline was very warm, friendly, and she knew her menu! Some starters were ordered, they came, ....very nice! Tasty potato n leek soup, haggis bon bons, and chicken strips. All mains came out, hot plates, food was very well presented, and everyone really enjoyed their choices of meals. So it's a DEFINATE that we will be back! A lovely local bar, lovely restaurant, lovely staff and we were informed that there is a function suite upstairs to accommodate 120 people. So We'll Done to ALL! Planning, putting this together, and bringing quality to a lovely village .....who Will support you! GOOD LUCK IN YOUR...

We held our dads 80th birthday lunch for 31 people at The Rest in Neilston yesterday and 5 stars across the board just isn’t high enough, from initial booking to the menu selection and then arriving in the restaurant yesterday was so easy. Upon arrival the longest table I’ve ever seen looked sensational and once everyone had arrived it looked even better. We can’t thank the team working yesterday enough, they could not have done anymore to ensure dad’s birthday was celebrated and enjoyed by everyone there. The service, the food, the birthday music, everyone in the restaurant was singing happy birthday for the cake being brought out, and the whole event was PERFECT, thanks again...

The "staff" if your willing to call them that are rude, they don't offer alternative and are hasty was told there was no availability sat there for half an hour and there was four people seated, one COUPLE were sat in a booth, and the other on a double seat, this will be the first and last time I will ever waste my money on this place shame as there was going to be 8 people with us, the head of the restaurant needs to get off a power trip I've lived in this village for 30 years and never been spoken to with such disrespect didn't even introduce herself, actually tried to hurry us away, good luck with running a business if that's how you...
