We only live a short distance from this place and had assumed it was just another "greasy spoon" type of takeaway and then we saw it featured on Rick Stein's Cornwall and vowed to get there - I'm really glad we did. It sits in a layby off the Truro to St Astell road (A390) and is well worth pulling off the road for. We opted for a Classic burger and a Tomzilla - the latter coming with Camembert, Bacon and Pastrami. The Classic was described to me as the nicest ever and my Tomzilla was something else with a wonderful mix of flavours. I've eaten burgers in many countries including a place in Florida that Oprah Winfrey rates as the best in the world - I can only assume that she's never been to Tom's as his are better. In addition to the delicious burgers, the quality of the bacon in the baps is excellent, with proper thick-cut slices.
And to top it off, even the coffee abd condiments were good quality!
