The Saddlers Arms — Restaurant in Guildford

I Live about 5 mins walk away and for the last couple years this pub has had some serious issues, with it being clientele based, rude staff and having no variation of beers. Until a couple month ago during lockdown where they’ve had new management.

This pub has some serious potential. Being someone who works in a pub like this that’s known for its real ales, this place would really benefit from trying to sell there’s more but also look after them better as well. The ale is warm and taste like nettles, this could be because their not selling enough of it or it’s not being stored correctly!

To me this pub could substantially well as it is a really nice pub outdoors and in, it could do with quieting down the music and playing something not so heavy. I want to make this my local every weekend instead of having to drive down the road to the Onslow arms or...

A friend hosts a Karaoke here once a month. My wife and I have arrived early for a meal a few times and stayed for the karaoke as I like to sing. One time the steak I'd ordered was Medium to Well-Done although I'd asked for it Rare. They replaced it in double-quick time without hesitation, and I was still able to eat my Main Course at the same time as my wife was eating hers.

I also went for lunch while out on a group ride with the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists.

A Truly Delightful Sunday Roast at Saddlers Arms!

My friend and I visited the Saddlers Arms on Sunday, 10 August, and what a treat it was! My lovely friend generously treated me to a roast beef dinner, and I must say, it was absolutely divine.

The slow-cooked beef was melt-in-the-mouth tender, full of rich flavour, and paired beautifully with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables, and scrumptious roast potatoes. Every bite was a joy, and the entire meal was simply lovely from start to finish.
