We booked an early dinner at 4pm and knew the carvery might have finished by then, but the rest of the menu was still available and did not disappoint! We had a really warm welcome and were shown straight to our table. The service throughout was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Steak and Stilton pie and my husband had the Beef Brisket - both were absolutely outstanding. The meat was plentiful, tender and full of flavour, clearly made with quality ingredients. We finished with dessert, which was just as perfect as the mains. Everything was beautifully presented and served piping hot (or ice-cold in the case of the desserts!). A lovely, relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and genuinely friendly team members. We cannot wait to return - highly recommend!

16 of us came for a family birthday celebration today and we loved it! Service was fantastic from Louise and the food was delicious. Just wish the gravy had been slightly thicker / more flavourful but the overall carvery experience was super and very well organised. I was able to have a little bit of all the meats (lamb, chicken, pork with crackling and beef) which was a complete treat and were all cooked to perfection. It was also served by a very friendly and helpful chap behind the carvery counter. I Would highly recommend eating here if you’re in the area. We would definitely come back again so we would like to pass on our thanks to all of the team for a wonderful day! Top tip- get there a bit early to secure parking as it does get busy.

Peta, my wife and I, look forward to our meals out at the Foresters. It’s a special place to us not just for the delicious food but the fab staff (great team) and the pub itself with superb atmosphere. Yesterday it was packed in doors and out. No surprise. We married in early July and had the pleasure of holding our Wedding Reception at the Foresters afterwards with both close family and friends, a little over six weeks ago. Returning this last Sunday was a real treat and their Sunday Roast didn't disappoint. We head off for our main Honeymoon in late September but before we go our next visit to the Foresters is already booked. See you all in early October and thank you Louise and team as always for a really enjoyable visit yesterday.

Ladies and Gentlemen, distinguished patrons, and those yet to discover the hidden gem that is The Foresters.

I stand before you today, compelled by an experience so exceptional that it demands not mere words but a celebration. The Foresters Pub is more than just a place to unwind—it is a haven of warmth, hospitality, and unparalleled service. But tonight, I wish to speak not just of the pub itself, but of three remarkable men whose dedication to their craft has left an indelible mark on my heart.

These three gentlemen; Harry, Jack and Sam, whose names deserve to be etched in gold, went above and beyond in ways that far exceeded even the loftiest expectations. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was greeted not as a guest, but as an honored friend, and their attentiveness was nothing short of extraordinary.

Their service was like a finely orchestrated symphony—seamless, harmonious, and filled with moments of brilliance. Every need was anticipated with a level of precision that can only be described as masterful. Their recommendations were not merely suggestions, but thoughtful insights delivered with a genuine desire to elevate our experience. And let us not forget the kindness—the warmth with which they interacted, making every exchange feel personal and heartfelt.

These men did not just serve—they uplifted. They transformed an evening out into an unforgettable occasion. Their grace, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence are qualities that set The Foresters Pub apart from all others. It is because of them that this establishment shines so brightly.

To the patrons who have not yet experienced this magic, I say—go, and let these gentlemen show you what true hospitality looks like. For I assure you, their service is not just good—it is *egendary.

To The Foresters Pub, I raise my glass, and to these three exemplary men, I offer my deepest thanks. They have made this not just a pub, but a place where memories are crafted and where every visitor leaves feeling not just satisfied but truly valued.

Thank you. God...

We waited on arrival at the check in desk and were completely ignored for 10 minutes. One waitress said she would go and get someone, eventually came back herself and managed to seat us. Another 10 minute wait for drinks (2 cokes). We asked if we could order food as well at that time as if we hadn't I don't think we would have been asked for ages. Order taken - 2 appetisers , 2 mains. I tried to order two different things and neither were available, left with only one option. We should have been told this when initially given the menus. We were then left for another half hour at which time I had to go and find someone and ask when we could expect the food. It was actually all ready (I'm not sure how long it had been sitting there), but that meant the appetisers came out at the same time as the main courses which is not really acceptable. We spoke to someone who said he would arrange for the appetisers to be taken off the bill (this was done when we paid). The food was fine, the service was chaotic at best, and bookings should be limited if they can't be managed. We had zero service for half an hour and were ignored on entering the restaurant. It seemed that either all the waitresses were clearing and moving tables, at one point 3 of them at one table, and yet nobody could come over to check if we were ok, they were avoiding eye contact completely. It is part of customer service to make sure that expectations are managed, at no point were we informed that there would be an extensive delay and actually the food was ready for ages - why are staff not going into the kitchen to check? Disappointing at best especially since the food was fine, understand being busy but not prepared to be ignored. I have to score a 2 for...

where to begin....booked for 2pm, drinks order taken 2.15ish, advised at least 6 dishes not available! placed order about 2.30, updated problem in kitchen no idea when food would be served! 3.pmish issued still no food, offered more drinks on the house 3.30ish still no update , we asked for some bread as we had now been waiting some time advised waitress if food did not appear by 4pm we would be leaving starters finally arrived about 3.45, asked how long mains would be now, advised "they have started cooking them" 4.30ish mains begin to arrive, 2 burgers, not quite as described but were okay 2 prawn & crab linguine, my husband hunted for prawns only to discover 1, and some shrimps, daughter was luckier she found 2! asked how many prawns should be in the linguine, told 6! but they had now run out of prawns, they did bring some shrimps, not quite they were expecting still waiting for 2 pies , one arrived, but we were told "no no you cant have the other one !" assume it was dropped, who knows another main was ordered this came quite quickly? and was okay we were offered various reductions, no charge for starters, 50% off, then I am not going to charge you anything! we were told it was a new menu, I think it was the same as the one i looked at when I booked a few weeks before...new chef!! so just after 5pm we left, 3 hours after we had arrived, we paid nothing, the food was okay, the worst bit was they were seating people, who had no idea of the problems, although we did over hear a waitress telling someone they were only serving burgers, but she wasn't having that This was a family outing for my husbands birthday, I'm sure we may laugh about this later, but one thing is for sure we WILL NOT BE...
