Our visit to restaurant was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were transported to the rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy. The ambiance was simply delightful. However, what truly made our evening memorable was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcomed and valued as guests. In an age where genuine customer service can be rare, the old guinea stands out as a shining example of excellence. We left the place with full hearts, already looking forward to our next visit. To the remarkable staff who made our evening so special, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for a truly unforgettable dining experience. We wholeheartedly recommend The Old Guinea to anyone.

Lovely view. However it seems that’s what you’re paying for. I was recommended this place as friends had eaten there only 2 days ago and they said it was really nice. Tonight I took my partner there as it was her birthday. I ordered the mushroom tortellini priced at £14 and the portion size was poor. I received 5 small to medium pieces of tortellini and barely any sauce. I don’t eat large portions usually… so it wasn’t me. It was genuinely a very small portion. I gave the benefit of the doubt and ate slowly to encourage myself to fill up however the food was “warm” when it arrived so did not want it to go cold. The flavours were lovely! Which was such a shame because I so wanted more!! I finished and was still hungry. My partner decided to mention it to the waiter who responded with “when you buy something with expensive ingredients, expect to get less food”. How is mushrooms expensive? Especially when my food was only £1 less expensive than the seafood pasta (which comes with mussels, prawns and squid?!). The waiter said he would mention it to someone and when questioned what the outcome was and what the person had said he replied “I will maybe tell my manager later”… maybe? I regret not asking for the manager but after that I was ready to pay and leave and also didn’t want to dampen my partners birthday especially as she didn’t mind her main. Also don’t bother for the dough balls (pictured)…

Stopped here with a mate for spot of dinner yesterday having heard good things and we were not disappointed! The service was friendly. The compact venue has a modern finish and manages to feel airy, it's filled with natural light. The large garden behind the venue (so off the quite road) has a fantastic panoramic view across the fields. Our food came quickly once ordered and was delicious, my friend, of Italian decent, and was looking forward to being picking but like myself was truly impressed. As for price, well you can't complain about that either, food is exceptionally good value, and the beer, given the location inside the M25 and the local area, we were expecting to pay more. All round thoroughly enjoyable, and we'll be back.

Had a really great experience in The Old Guinea - Food - Pizzas were absolutely brilliant, maybe up there with the top pizzas I've ever eaten... The dough for their classic base is really something special, not to be missed. Toppings were fresh and the mozzarella perfectly golden. I had the Vesuvio Pizza. Service was also exceptional, half of our party were quite late thanks to traffic, but our waiter was understanding and didn't hassle us at all until the rest of our table had arrived. Atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed considering how absolutely full the restaurant was (Saturday Lunchtime). Chilled music and contemporary decor. Only visited this pub a one off, but I think I'll find myself returning for the pizza!

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends for the first time, the setting was nice and service was good. I looked at the menu prior to coming and was going to order the halloumi chips as i love halloumi. However even though items like this is marked vegetarian along with chips and anything fried i double checked with the waitress to ask if the halloumi /chips is fried in a seperate oil to meat and fish etc (as most places do). I was quite disappointed to find out they are all fried in the same oil, so cross contamination and guessing not really vegetarian as the chips would have the taste of meat/fish as well. I ended up having to go for the safe option of pizza, which was ok.
