Station Plaice — Restaurant in Horsham

compared to how it was if feel the quality has gone gown noticeably. whilst i understand making food to order is challenging especially during busy time such as my visit. i don't believe it is an excuse for sub standard food, i ordered a medium cod and small chips. the chips were ok and relatively generous if not lacking flavour and texture being rather mushy. as for the cod this was very poor. in both portion and quality. it felt as if the fish was fried hot and quickly giving an alright crip on the outside however leaving the inside being under cooked. not to mention with this "medium" being roughly the size of a small at other chippys.

over all i would not recommend. however the staff were good...

Since changing ownership, this fish and chip shop is not the same quality as previous. The portion sizes are a lot smaller than what you would consider a regular and large, and the prices have gone up disproportinalt to the portion scale. Additionally, the chips lack the flavour that they used to, and the batter seasoning is lacking. The last time I brought from here (I've tested several times now), the batter was undercooked, and the chips were also...

We ordered on a busy Saturday evening and the food was cooked to perfection and bang on time (I rang ahead as was a large order) and it was still a great temperature when we got home and everything was fresh and perfect portions. Mix of fish, meat, vegetarian, kids meals and pies. Great new family run business who really care about their customers and great friendly service....
