Higgsy's — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

There is only one word to describe Higgsy's and it's AMAZING. Who would have thought this little small hut would produce such delicious and scrumptious food.

Upon arrival there was a queue and by the time I left that queue had got bigger, not to mention phone orders coming in too. I spoke to the owner, who was very friendly and has got the biggest beard I have ever seen!

Higgsy's produce is all fresh, and the meat is sourced from Hertfordshire. There are no frozen patties here, just big balls of seasoned beef pressed down whilst cooking.

I went for the Redneck burger from a recommendation, which consists of a Double Smash burger, onions, beef frankfurter, 4 layers of cheese, and streaky bacon served in a bun. My mouth was watering all the way home, and it was worth it! Packed full of flavour, I went for a sauce combination of blue cheese & bbq served with chips.

Other items on the menu included various burger combinations, a chicken burger, breakfast combos, Swamp Thing which is a double smash burger with 4 cheese in a Swamp of nacho cheese and bacon bits! They also have loaded fries and Sharer Boxes.

Higgsy's has been voted Cambridgeshire's best burger, and you can see why. Each order received is made to order and it is evident why there is always a queue and they sell out every day, sometimes within a couple hours of opening. After this experience, you will never want to eat a burger from somewhere else. This is the new...

Wow.

Starting off with the customer service & Shack: This shack has left the BEST impressions. With this being our first time at Higgsys Hut, the owners were very welcoming. It was great to show up and there being regular customers who were there who also brought a great vibe by being chatty not to mention speaking highly of the food. The shack was nicely presented and to me gave a Texas feel to it & clean!

The food:

The timing for the food was fairly good, fresh patties made and all the ingredients were cooked there and then! The taste… OUT OF THIS WORLD, we got two Redneck burgers and they didn’t disappoint. The sausage had such a distinctive smokey taste taking me back to the Texas/bbq vibe I got from the shack. The burgers themselves were “smash type patties” they were so juicy which is great as they are normally quick to dry out… however the team literally “smashed” it! They were perfect. We got two sides of fries which were perfectly crispy and salted (without asking that’s when you know they know what they’re doing). Thank-you for our faultless meals and look forward to seeing you both again. This will definitely be on our list of places to come back too for definite.

Do yourself a favour and visit this shack if you want a proper burger with PROPER flavour, thanks again for your hospitality...

Smashing Food & Great People

Been passing this place for a while now, every time I've been telling my self to stop and try the food. due to the nature of my work I spend a lot of time on the road and eating out and never found The place for a decant food until me and my wife stopped here today.

When we arrived we were greeted by two fabulous people who took our orders, we spoke and had a laugh which was great, never had this else where.

We spoke about the food etc, the owner is very positive about what he delivers and I can now honestly & safely say, I can see why, We had to the redneck burger, and within the first bite you can tell the difference from this place to others.

the food is to die for, this place most certainly put's other places to shame.

Food is well presented, not over greased or over sauced, food melts in your mouth and that taste between flavours is unreal.

If your looking for the best burger in the county then don't miss this stop, you wont be let down.
