The Blackthorn — Restaurant in Ireland

I have went to Hagans a few times and every time we were told by bouncers that we can't get in unless we have booked a table. But then eventually we were normally let in. However last Saturday, me and 5 of my friends weren't let in because we hadn't booked a table. After I told them that I phoned twice looking a table( was told by 2 different bar staff that there is no need to book a table to get in) and I couldn't get one, we were told by the manager that we should phone on Monday to book a table (WHAT?!) and that table bookings should be made through Facebook ( but on their page it says that table bookings should be done my email or phone) This was ridiculous but what was worse was that while we were waiting for our taxi we witnessed the bouncers letting a few people in who also didn't have a table booked. I thought this was disgusting and very unprofessional. I will never be back...

This place is a good sports bar with plenty of TVs all over the place. At Night-Time it converts into a DJ-Club upstairs and downstairs there's approximately 4 separate bars here and it also extends into next door, which unfortunately is closed at the moment so 'no pictures' could be taken, however very busy on a Friday night and Saturday night would recommend. I'm only here in town for couple of days, but ideal for what I need. The service here is very friendly but unfortunately they do not accept any card payments however there is a cash point hear which you can gladly get cash out! I like the decor and the lighting here very homely and very comfortable. As it stands I've only been here for a few drinks I've not require to order any food so...

Was at the new beer garden Havana tonight with my husband who is a wheelchair user. Gerry sorted us out with wheelchair access into the garden. Disabled toilet facilities were made available and access back out again all sorted with no fuss! Anyone in a wheelchair will appreciate the apprehension going out and all the logistics involved.
