I've been to the Hardwick branch of Burger King on 3 occasions since it opened on Monday, 3rd March 24,
I was initially so excited to have Burger King back in Kings lynn as it's somewhere different to go for fast food, and the burgers are proper burgers.
The 1st and 2nd time I went, it was very busy as it was the 1st week it opened so it was understandable. Burger was hot, but chips were cold, considering it was busy. You would think the chips would be piping hot.
The 3rd time we went was Sunday evening at 7.56 p.m., as we were approaching the entrance, we were told that the branch was closing. I was surprised that a fast food restaurant was closing so early, considering you have competition like McDonald's and kfc on the same estate closing much later.
The opening times are 10 till 7pm Monday to Saturday and 11 till 6pm on sundays, so they were supposed to be closed, but it still seams to early in the week and weekends. I strongly think an additional hour needs to be added to their closing times as they will lose money to the competition.
I do love a burger king, but it does need to improve a couple of its actions if it wants to keep a presence in Kings lynn for a long period of time like other well know fast food branches.
I was also disappointed by the number of self-serve points there were, there was only 3 but should have been 4, maybe 5, to cope with demand. There were a lot of people walking out because they were unhappy to continue to wait in a big queue going out the door and down the carpark. There were no cashiers on the tills to serve, which was another disappointment to those queuing for over 30 minutes.
I will go back, but I'm not sure I will use this particular burger king if I was in a rush or wanting fast food. There is nothing fast about it. I will say the food is very tasty, especially the burgers, but chips need to be piping hot when coming out as they are thin, so do...
Read moreOur first visit to this particular outlet. Definitely not in a rush to return. They really don’t have enough staff on duty. People were struggling with the order points, the older couple in front of us walked out because they couldn’t fathom out what to do. There was nobody on hand to help or advise them. We eventually ordered our food (not enough order points and a long queue). While we waited, I remarked on the state of the tables and the floor. People weren’t putting their rubbish in the bins and stuff was mounting up on the tables, this was due to customer laziness. However, tables should still be wiped and floors cleared of food and potential hazards. There was no member of staff in doing this. When we eventually got our food we opted to eat in the car because of the poor hygiene practice inside. The burgers were, at best, warm, chips were quite hard and luke warm and the fizzy drinks were flat. By this time we’d lost the will to go in and complain because the queue had extended considerably. My meal went in the bin after two bites of burger and a couple of chips and my partner managed half a burger and a few rank chips. Sorry Burger King, you need...
Read moreTerrible experience!! I have never seen anything like it. Waited over 50 minutes for our food only for our order number to disappear off screen. When we asked what had happened, we were initially told 'we don't know' there was so many people in the same boat. After 10 minutes we followed up only to be shouted at by one of the young girls supposedly serving the food. The 'manager' had to intervene and tell her to stop shouting at us. The whole restaurant was full of people waiting for food and they had to shut the kiosks down and stop taking orders as they didn't have a clue what was going on. There was a massive mound of food in the middle all going stone cold as they weren't packing or calling numbers out.
Absolutely shocking, there was elderly people stood up for over an hour waiting for food, completely disgusting to treat customers like that, can't see it lasting long if they continue their...
