I have always had good food in this little cafe and staff are so obliging especially Susan. I use this cafe a lot when I am supporting adults with my job. However, just recently I took my sister there for a meal and a drink, the bill came to £22. I asked if we could have a glass of tap water so that my sister could take her midday medication. Waiter told me that they have been told to charge for tap water now!! I questioned owner as we had purchased drinks also, he said it was because his overheads are expensive. We were pleasantly surprised as it looks quite dark from outside - I think the windows are just tinted for privacy as it's actually warm and bright inside. Beautifully decorated, friendly staff and a buffet-style serving option with some delicious options.
Options today included lasagne, sausage casserole, hunters chicken and beef stew as well as a daily roast. Really flavourful and homely cooking, and affordable too. £22 for two meals a decaf latte and a can of Dr Pepper.
