Décor/cleanliness +lovely seaside view -unhygienic. The tables were very sticky, definitely haven’t been cleaned in a long while. The radiator had stains and fluff, hasn’t been cleaned for years. Chairs were dusty. -Menu’s were badly presented, bent and dirty Waiting times: -the restaurant was empty, after placing our order for food we had to wait nearly half an hour Food: -Limited selection -Overpriced for the quality and waiting time -Like chewing on a flipflop. We ordered the ‘homemade 8oz beef burger’ which came with chips. The chips were the worst we had ever tasted. Just from looking at them you can tell they were not fresh. They looked and tasted like they had nipped next door to the chip shop, took their leftover chips and reheated them the next day. The burger was extremely dry and rubbery, the bun was also extremely dry. Couldn’t eat more than half the burger even though I was hungry because it took so much effort to chew it. The only thing I think was fresh was the salad. You could get more and better quality for your money (£8.25) from McDonalds -75p for a topper, so £1.50 extra if you want cheese and onions in your burger. Service: +waitress was friendly -unprofessional staff. When I went up to pay, two young boys were leaning on the counter chatting to friends that were sitting near the till. The waitress had to tell them to get out of the way so she could serve me.

Overall we won’t be going back and can’t really recommend it. The cleanliness wasn’t great, very sticky tables, the food was poor, not fresh and reheated. Waiting time was ridiculous considering we were literally the only ones in there. £17 without drinks, definitely...

This is my personal best choice for restaurant in Hunstanton and here’s to why.

Staff are really really welcoming and sweet and this alone hits my five stars given straight away. They are not only polite and friendly, but also something else made me a very nice impression, something you could easily miss. We entered the place at 16:50 and nobody told us they were closing 17:00, in 10 minutes! Nobody mentioned it at all, we were warmly welcomed, our order taken, served, we ate in total peace until 17:30 etc. - not a single sign of rushing or anything! Most restaurants would have probably closed the doors, to demonstrate that it’s time to go, but not here! Not even a gentle reminder, we were treated like friends!

About the food - totally independent from the above, I loved every bite! The chicken was made, like the absolute perfection!

About hygiene - the place was sparkling clean (I have experiences of all sorts, this is my not so humble expert opinion here). A couple left shortly after we arrived and I saw two of the waitresses taking the stuff away from the table and with no delay cleaning and disinfecting it so carefully that I presumed it was their own business, never seen such care and total absence of rushing at the end of the day. I also used the toilets and they were immaculate. First time I see restaurant toilets so clean, 5-stars for that too!

Last thing - prices were spot on. I am quite stingy when it comes to value for money and you get the best of it here.

Location is quite easy to find.

Will definitely be returning when in...

This is a place that says unrealised potential. Pitched as a family restaurant they cater for kids and are dog friendly which is good however...! Seems like Dad wanted a beach bar in the bahamas but had to settle for Hunstanton. decor is more suited to an evening bar vibe. They do serve alcohol. but not an extensive choice. Food was not good. Individual microwaved lasagne a la 1980's drowning in nuked cheese with a bit of chopped iceberg and carrot dumped on the charger plate. Ditto for a veggie burger in a bun! Mum clearly was not in the mood to cook. Seemed like the kids were running the front. They cleaned between customers (toilets were clean) well enough and were friendly enough but we had to wait ages to order. The three (separate) laminated A4 bits of paper that constituted the menu were greasy and underwhelming. Overall impression was organisation and training was needed from someone who knew what they are doing. Was not expecting a la carte but given their prime position on the front with the surrounding competition it was disappointing. We...

Overall a decent experience. Food was cooked well and had great taste. Fairly priced drinks too. We were let down by limited menu options as they were low on food to serve. We was also disappointed that we were not spoken to as soon as we entered - we was sat at a table for at least 10 minutes before we was acknowledged by staff. However we must add that when we was served the staff were very friendly! Tiny improvements: Replace some of the light bulbs in the fixtures as some are blown Add more fly repellant throughout as we had flies flying around whilst we was eating our food.
