We recently had three nights here. Our room was on the top floor, where there were nice views down towards the sea front and overlooking the square. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious the room was, with a good size ensuite too. The double bed was just two pushed together, however the bed was comfortable and didn't really bother us. The shower was roomy and gave options of rainfall or spray showering, with good water pressure. (For those that like to keep their hair dry) There are no lifts in the Hotel, with two flights of stairs to climb, with cases/bags maybe a little difficult if elderly or have a disability. (If this was the case however, you could always check with the Hotel before booking, to maybe sort something..so don't let this put you off) There is also first floor accommodation for consideration. The weather was good so the Bar below our window, became reasonably busy, so you could hear people. This again didn't bother us, and the Bar closes at 22:00. Likewise with the theatre opposite, you could hear the music, however we rather liked this. With temperatures being as they were, we felt the hotelier should have considered some fans for the rooms, as even with windows flung wide it was extremely hot/uncomfortable. Food for thought? At the time of our visit the restaurant was closed for food, due to staffing shortages. The Hotel has a sister restaurant a short walk away, which we visited for a drink only, but must say it all looked nice with plenty of choice. During busy times I would recommend pre booking restaurants in or around Hunstanton,as it is extremely busy and you could be left disappointed. A lesson we are learning. The Hotel does have parking for 6-8 vehicles, although it can get busy, we never had any problems. Once you receive your key from the bar area, and a few service instructions we never saw anyone after that, and with the hotel being busy hardly saw a soul. Overall a pleasant stay. We recommend this Hotel, which is really good value money, and wouldn't hesitate to use the in...

Well if Basil Faulty had a brother it would be the guy running this place, we went in early in the day to ask if they had any accommodation, "No were Full" was the reply with no eye contact, OK no worries, luckily we got in at the Wash and Tope, we had actually eaten at the Marine bar a couple of years ago and had a good meal so later on went back, walked in at 8.45 snd asked if they were serving food, Basil Faulty Lite said "yes till 9 so you have got 15 minutes ", we were actually laughing at his demeanor as were some of the other customers, we sat down and quickly scanned the menu, I went to order, Scampi and Fish Chowder and was told "oh the chef won't mind cooking that" glad I didn't inconvenience the guy, Anyway 9 o clock comes and and Basil Faulty Lite runs around the bar snatching the menus off the tables just incase anyone else dare walk in, food arrived and it was delicious, in summary a great laugh to see this guy in action, not sure service is his calling but he entertained us and the food was great so we will go back just for the entertainment value because we are still...

I recently stayed at the Marine Bar Hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. All the staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrival at the bar.

The room I had was comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities you’d expect. The flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi were a nice touch. Stunning sea views from my room, which were a perfect way to wake up in the morning!

The on-site restaurant in the bar area was great. I enjoyed delicious breakfasts and meals at reasonable prices. The bar also offers an impressive selection of drinks, and you are able to enjoy them with seating inside and out.

The Bar Hotel is conveniently located in the middle of Hunstanton, which makes it easy to walk to the different tourist spots and local attractions.

If you’re arriving by car, the bar hotel has a car parking area on the side that is free to use for guests, which is a massive bonus.

I highly recommend the Marine Bar Hotel for anyone visiting Hunstanton. It’s a great place to stay, with great service and great food and drink.

I’ll...

*UPDATE* 21/3/24 yet again, we had to go here. Food was perfect. I had my liver, bacon and onions and the other half had a steak and kidney pudding. All was perfect! I've been here a few times now. I've never had a bad meal. It's an old traditional pub. If you're looking for one of these modern yuppy pubs this maybe won't be for you. If you want traditional dining, with simple good food, cooked properly and a friendly atmosphere and very sensible prices for somewhere so near the beach. It's got all the meals you'll be looking for as well. I personally love the menu there's items on there that you just don't get in many pubs now. I like to try and go there when in Hunstanton. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Great place for a hearty meal at reasonable price. Covid measurements in place and well organised. Staff very friendly, could eat here on your own safely. Eating in or outside. Dogs welcome so long as on the lead. Great 60s music well done guys, just what you want on holiday. Well l do. Efficient sanitiastion between customers This place has never failed me yet. Been coming over a number of years. Don't modernise, we like you the way you are. A pub that has managed to keep its atmosphere!
