Maya Bistro — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

What a place! It's tucked away and a little hidden but the service is excellent, and the food is unexpectedly great! There are loads of tables and staff very attentive so someone came over almost immediately offering drinks and a menu. Drinks ordered, and the menu is surprisingly extensive, with vegan and vegetarian options available. Drinks areived in short time and we ordered linguine for her, and a Maya breakfast for me. The food for the price is fantastic! All freshly cooked and served with a smile and in short time. The linguine was apparently delicious and very generous with the chicken and bacon and the sauce was lovely and creamy - for less than a tenner too! The breakfast had all my favourites: a runny egg; deliciously sweet tinned tomatoes; hot hash browns and dry pan fried bacon. The sausage was a cafe sausage (they're all the same let's be honest) but I couldn't fault it. In summary then: What a find! Looking at the Sunday roasts coming out I think I'd sooner come here than go to any carvery, they all look sooooo good. If you're in KL and need food - any kind of food - pop in and sit down. Fabulous breakfast, reasonably priced. Helpful, welcoming, and friendly staff. Good atmosphere, lovely relaxing decor, and comfortable seating. There is plenty of space between tables and good views for people watching. Perfect whether on your own or with friends and family. Good facilities, the toilet is a little snug to get in, but it is much easier to get to being located downstairs now. We aren’t local and it was the only really dog friendly food place we could find. We weren’t expecting much but the food was excellent and the staff very very friendly and they couldn’t help more. I went for the chicken and mash, the mash was very creamy and tasty with a lovely thick gravy on it, the chicken was moist and a decent portion. The kids went for fish fingers and chips which they seemed to enjoy and the wife had a jacket which was decent enough, drinks included it was 20 odd quid which is unheard...
