We came here to celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday, instead we left shocked and upset.
We booked this restaurant for a special occasion while on holiday. I called the day before, made a reservation for two adults and two children and we arrived at 5pm for our meal. What followed was nothing short of disgraceful.
We asked for a highchair, only to be told they had only one (yes, one, in the entire restaurant) and it was going to be used by another table, although we could use it until they arrived at 6pm. With two small children, we knew we’d be finished by then so it was fine.
By 5:20, just twenty minutes into our meal, a waiter came over and demanded the highchair back because the other table had arrived. Our 2-year-old was expected to… what exactly? Balance her dinner on her lap? Sit on the floor? When we pointed out that we also had a reservation and that no one mentioned they only had one highchair, we were met with rudeness, dismissiveness and attitude.
When we said we didn’t want to eat there any more and that we’re leaving, the waiter sarcastically told us to “keep the highchair.” They then tried to charge us for food we didn’t even get to eat saying that we had to take it as a take away. Absolutely disgraceful customer service.
Thankfully, we went to Fishers of Hunstanton afterwards, where the staff were warm, welcoming, and made our daughter feel special on her birthday, the exact opposite of the treatment we received here.
If you value good service, or if you have children, don’t even bother booking this place. They ruined what should have been a happy...
Read moreThe worst Indian meal I’ve ever tasted in my entire lifetime. These people are ripping off the brits and tourists by providing something that’s not even close to Indian food. Everything here is (Frozen, refrigerated, microwaved). Their attitude towards Indians visiting their place is totally opposite to their attitudes towards other people. Maybe they’re irritated by the fact that Indians will figure out the nasty things that they provide in the name of INDIAN FOOD. The receipt that they shown was handwritten and they refused to give the receipt to us even after requesting (A possible tax evasion). My advice would to new people who are trying Indian food would be.. avoid this place.. if you think that what you’re eating is Indian, then you’re entirely wrong!
PLUS, the there will be only 4 small chicken pieces in all their microwaved dishes. I can’t even digest that they provided some random thing named as chicken tikka. I feel really pity for the new people who try and believe that they’re eating real chicken tikkas LOL. The whole experience...
Read moreOur first time eating there, The restaurant was fairly empty. despite this the services were poor. We asked for individual bills, prior to ordering. We ordered starters, While still eating popadoms the waiter took away the dips!?.?. Then some of us had finished our main course, Their plates cleared away while others still eating beside them,!?.... Extremely bad manners! We had asked for separate bills, on two different occasions prior to ordering. the Bill arrived as one whole payment, We pointed out that we have asked for individual bills, Then we received attitude, told by another waiter thats how they do it, we should have asked, Pointed out that we did. Then both waiters talking beside us in Indian, We do not know what was being said?. However no apology was given to us for their error, So whilst the food was good, The service plus the attitude was not good, which was disappointing. Totally unexpected! and...
