A really nice cafe with fair prices, all too often businesses in busy places think it acceptable to charge a small fortune for their services/products. We are on holiday and a cafe near us is asking Ā£15 for a breakfast! That’s a simple vegetarian breakfast, nothing special. This cafe is Ā£4 cheaper, I refuse to pay extortionate prices, I own a business too so understand how it all works. So this cafe is fairly priced, the food was delicious, I had a Cheese and onion Panini that was cooked to perfection and served with a nice side salad. My partner had a baked potato that was also perfectly cooked. It’s very dog friendly and there are dog treats available to buy, there’s also a drinking station for dogs. The cafe is located on the beach so you can walk the beach, run your hounds or just enjoy it. My partner left her sunglasses on the table when we left, the waiter came and found us which was appreciated. We paid Ā£21 for a Panini, baked potato, 2 cans of drink and 3 hand baked large dog treats. I think that’s a good price.

Stopped here today for lunch for the first time with our (occasionally anti-social / barky) Labrador, Molly, who we bribed to be well behaved with their delicious cheesy dog biscuits!! (She loved them šŸ§€) Super friendly staff. We asked if it would be ok to sit inside with her as it was getting pretty hot outside at this point and it was no problem at all. The drinks arrived very quickly and the food promptly after. Really fantastic food; the bread was very soft on my sandwiches and the salad also super colourful and very fresh. Loved that you also got some crisps and coleslaw too. The chocolate brownie was also amazing. Absolutely fantastic. Around 11am Wednesday (not in the holidays) and it wasn't too overly busy. I can imagine on nice weekends and school holidays they would be rammed. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommended and ideal location just a short walk along the beach from the cliff top car park. (Sorry to anyone Molly barked at) ā¤ļø

Came up from Brighton to celebrate 28th wedding anniversary. Went to parkrun sat morning, was recommended this place to eat after. Wow! Full Vegan menu that has many options. I had a Vegan breakfast with extra mushrooms, wife was not overly hungry so had a few bits from my plate. Fresh, hot, and very tasty. Was so good we decided to come back before driving home today. Had the beyond burger and my wife had the vegan breakfast as she was so impressed with what she'd tried of mine the day before. The food is great, the service is warm and friendly, the wait time for food was quick considering just how busy they were. Thank you. We also got a Vegan pasty and sausage roll along with a couple of fig and almond scones and a couple of slices of ginger cake. Just the cake left to go. Delicious. This is a must visit place for any Vegan or anyone for that matter. Will deffo come back next time we're in sunny hunny.

Yesterday we queued behind someone a few minutes before the kitchen shut - which ok was a bit short but as someone was before us and we were there before 3pm, we started looking at the menu while waiting. However by time the person in front had been served, it was two minutes past three and the woman on the till said sorry kitchen is now shut. We explained we were there before 3 and were waiting while she served the person before us but she dismissed us by saying the fryers had been switched off and that was that. Didn’t want fried food but that probably wouldn’t have changed anything.

The manager was wandering around but elected to not get involved.

My question is are you so complacent and arrogant to treat customers like this? There are many other cafes in Hunny - so perhaps that national paper review has gone to your head.

We’re local and have spent hundreds in here over the course but not any more. Copper kettle or Georgie’s to name a couple are perfectly pleasant places where the staff actually give a hoot.

UPDATE in response to owners feedback -

So don’t say we were hostile and rude. Yes things were a little frustrated because we were waiting before 3pm to order, only to be very surprised when we were declined food - never had that happen anywhere else before - but if we were rude and hostile, then why did your staff serve us drinks?

If we were rude and hostile, I would thoroughly expect nothing less than being asked to leave. not be served drinks (which were very much needed in that moment).

In fact, all hospitality premises have a zero-tolerance policy on hostility so it is only reasonable to say your feedback on our supposed behaviour is fiction - you certainly didn’t feel the need to ask us to leave.

I don’t blame the member of staff on the counter btw - it’s you as the owner that should have a procedure that works - Maybe put the sign outside the door soon before 3pm saying kitchen closing time so it’s more obvious before...

After a refreshing and wet walk on Hunstanton's beautiful beach, we stumbled upon the Old Town Beach Cafe, and let me tell you, it was a delightful discovery! The cafe itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, but the real star of the show is the food.

The menu offers something for everyone. We had a fantastic mix of options, from burgers to hearty Thai curry. But what truly impressed us was the fantastic selection of gluten-free and vegan options. Often, these dietary restrictions can mean sacrificing flavor, but that's absolutely not the case here. Everything we tasted was bursting with fresh flavors and cooked to perfection.

For the gluten-free folks, there were delicious sandwiches on proper bread (a rarity!), and for the vegans, there were creative and satisfying dishes like Thai curry (which, by the way, was incredible!). We all left feeling happy, satisfied, and incredibly well-fed.

The Old Town Beach Cafe isn't just about the food, though. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our experience was top-notch. Whether you're a local or just visiting Hunstanton, this cafe is a must-try. It's the perfect spot to refuel after a day at the beach, and with its inclusive menu and delicious food, it caters to everyone. ...

I wish I'd have taken photos of this takeaway meal. Words won't do it justice, but I'll try. I had a nice, friendly greeting by the staff and my order was taken efficiently. I ordered four fish finger sandwiches and two portions of chips. The total was quite expensive, but when the boxes arrived, they were a) worth the expense and b) worth the wait. It was a busy, hot Sunday afternoon. The cafe was inundated with customers, I don't think they could have done more to feed us all in a timely manner. I simply sat outside in the sun with my dog and a cappuccino (made very welcome, by the way!) until the order arrived. The sandwiches were made with the finest bread (white, brown and granary were all on offer) and the fish fingers weren't simply Bird's-eye! The bread was buttered, the fish fingers were larger than you'd expect and full of proper fish. There was a small salad, coleslaw and a pot of tartar sauce inside the box, too. The chips were all home made and hot and crispy. The staff had added wooden cutlery to the order which made our beach meal perfect. I would...
