Prezzo Italian Restaurant Kings Lynn — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

We visited Prezzo this evening for our anniversary. We booked in advance and I made sure to put on the booking that we were celebrating a anniversary, however this did not seem to make any difference at all. It would have been nice if some effort was made in this area, especially when booking the website asked if we were celebrating. It seems point the website asking if the staff do not acknowledge it. We were greeted at the door however it was not a warm welcome. We were offer a small table and I requested a different table as I did not want to be right next to the toilets. The food came quickly. I ordered the pasta arribata and added chicken. The pasta was undercooked. The sauce was so plain and cold it was awful. The sauce was also a weird water consistency so It wasn't sticking to the pasta correctly. It felt like they had just water down tomato sauce. I could not taste any chilli or garlic. My partner had the three meat pizza, he said it was plain and was undercooked also. The staff were unbothered and did not bring any warm energy. I asked to have the aribaita removed from the bill as I did not eat it. They said they would remove it. We had dessert which was nice. I had a 2 free dessert voucher so I used this. The server did remove the desserts however did not remove the aribaita. We Asked about this before we paid, the server lied to our face and said she had removed it. We added it up and she clearly did not remove it. We just wanted to leave so just paid it and left. The restaurant was cold and I could smell cigarettes. This was an awful experience and we will not be returning. We especially did not like being lied to about the pasta dish not being removed. Overall its cheap cold tasteless food and cold...

Turned up at 9 for a table of 7, was told to have all food ordered by 9:45, no problem. Went tor set menu after 10 mins of being sat down and was told that kitchen was closing at 9:30 so needed to have everything ordered. We were going for a set menu so only had a starter and a main anyway and one couple had a dessert. Really rushed service for a table of 7. Cleared the table away when people weren't finished eating and didn’t ask if we wanted to take our left overs away. Then said we couldn’t order desserts so the one dessert we had ordered had to be taken away in a bag!!! Couldn’t even order desserts, and to be honest I quite fancied something sweet after rushing my main and starter!!! I have worked in hospitality for a very long time and I’ve always been taught that if you have paying customers you leave when they leave, I have never experienced this type of poor service at prezzo before, it was an early birthday celebration with my friends and I felt like I couldn’t even enjoy my meal because I felt this pressure to eat and finish so soon! I get that it’s Christmas and you want to be home, but if we are still eating and drinking why are we being rushed? I had to bring 3/4’s of a bottle of Prosecco home with me in the end as me and my friends couldn’t get through it. And the cheek to add 1% on the bill is silly when we hardly received...

Love this place, you can dress up or go casual neither you would feel out of place.. seating area outside which is lovely in the spring/summer sitting in the sun! Friendly staff, service is perfect time food comes out sizzling hot .. iv had spat bol,carbonara,pizza(many times) and many other others .. all full if flavour and delicious!! Loads of choice on each of the menus .. and wow the desserts ..you must take 5minutes break and enjoy one .. I had this lush chocolate dessert with fabulous ,presented beautifully with the warm choc sauce poured over in front of me melting the top layer and finishing it in style!! .. sticky toffee pud is good, large portion and very tasty!! As are many others ... There's parking directly at the front of prezzos, a pat and display called the Tuesday market place for a short walk you could get lucky and get a free space down the quay. Prezzos also caters for children,with a special great valued menu just for kids crayons and drawing are offered so during your break between courses the children are happy! At different times there is a buy a gift which is fantastic value, you cant go wrong in purchasing this meal for 2 if you find it available!.. smallee menu but great selection!
