Royal Gourmet — Restaurant in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

If I can only select 0 star. Ridiculous! Very unprofessional. We ordered for delivery at 5:50 PM and they gave an estimated delivery time 6:35-6:55 PM. At 7:00 PM order has not arrived, so we called them. They said driver is out just 10 minutes ago, it's delayed because they are busy. Then asked us to wait 10 more minutes. Guess what, at 7:20 PM order still has not arrived! They didn't even bother calling us back to update us! I had to do 4 follow up calls, the guy who answered my first and second call, hang up on me. To the staff - just simply be honest and tell us the exact delivery time or if the driver will be coming really late, so we can cancel the order. Imagine, our food arrived at 8:15 PM and food was cold alredy, that's almost 2 hours of waiting! The driver's telling us they had the wrong house number? It wasn't our first time ordering online at the same address. They were the only one who told us that the house no. is wrong! All our other orders arrived on time without any issues. My point is, we communicated earlier on the phone to follow up, but they don't seem to care that we are waiting over couple of hours! We went lunchtime for the all you can eat buffet the food wasnt ready When we arrived so had to wait the man that served us our drink did apologise was friendly and welcoming. When food was ready and in the hot plate myself and husband Went to investigate. I was so disappointed with the selection on offer being quite minimal for an all you can eat buffet but thought i would give it a try. Prawn toast was very dark and the gyozas i think thats what they were tasted quite bland as did the spring rolls. On the plus side the main meals were cooked well tasted delicious i did not try the chips or the yellow looking dish possibly soup not too sure there were 4 other people in at the same time as us and did not take long for the food to disappear wasn’t refilled whilst we were there I did notice that there was only one person in the kitchen cooking so maybe not up to its usual Saturday lunchtime service. I was glad that when i paid the bill found out it was £12.90 per person for that price. You could eat enough to get your moneys worth but compared to usual all you can eat buffets. Delicious food but the delivery man absolutely awful and unprofessional. Kick in the door and very rude when I politely asked to knock next time.

Regarding answer to my review it’s just one big Lia. The lady did wait for the driver as this wasn’t first time when we ardered from your restaurant and the same driver kicked the door. It’s just not nice. As I said food in your restaurant is really delicious and there was another driver other day British I presume who was absolutely lovely and polite only this one specific driver always kick the door and is pretty rude Not a very good reply for a comment that’s just show the level of customer service. “Sorry” would be more than enough.
