Staying nearby we were pleased to read the pub was dog friendly. It is if you like sitting in a small conservatory or in the garden. Dogs not allowed in the main bar area. Despite visiting a few times during the week the landlord or landlady didn't speak other than to ask what you wanted to drink, they were too engrossed in chatting to the locals. I am gluten free and the waitresses had great knowledge of the choices on the menu that were good for me and even made some recommendations. However, when we got the menu’s and came to order all the prices had all jumped. Even though we were the only four in there eating, they got our orders wrong, food was hot but not great and counted about 10 chips on each plate.
